90 Day Fiance: Caroline Schwitzky’s Boyfriend Arrested for Attempting to Murder Her

Sometimes, things can get a little tense in a marriage. But no one should ever attempt to murder they're in a relationship with – that should be a universally agreed-upon truth, right? Yet domestic violence is disturbingly common – and desperately under-reported.
The boyfriend of 90 Day Fiance's Caroline Schwitzky – Cole Goldberg – has been arrested for attempted murder after a public and vicious attack on Schwitzky which was only foiled through the determined intervention of bystanders.
A Domestic Row Turns Dangerous
On Sunday, Schwitzky and Goldberg were spending time together on a boat in West Palm Beach, Florida. They've been together about a year, and were relaxing on the water in the sight of many witnesses, according to a report by Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers.
Witnesses observed the two in a disagreement which quickly turned horrifying – and could have turned deadly.
TMZ reports, "According to the report, obtained by TMZ, witnesses told cops Caroline tried to get away from Cole, but he was holding and aggressively grabbing her to keep her onboard. The struggle went on for around 20 minutes, and then Caroline began punching Cole's arms to free herself.
Officers say they were told Caroline eventually managed to break free and jump off the boat, swimming toward a nearby boat. Cole apparently jumped in after her, caught up to her in the water and allegedly tried to push her under.
Witnesses also claimed Cole grabbed Caroline by the throat with both hands, attempting to strangle her while holding her under the water in a rage.
The people who claim they saw it all go down told officers … they screamed at Cole to stop, to no avail … he kept holding Caroline underwater.
According to the report, several people from a nearby boat jumped in the water to rescue her. They managed to pull Caroline up and away from Cole, and even used a stick to keep him at bay."
If not for the dogged intervention of witnesses, it's likely that Goldberg's attempt would have ended in murder.
As it was, he was arrested for attempted first-degree murder and a battery charge.
Luckily, because of the actions of bystanders, Schwitzky was left with just bruises – and a lot of heartache and trauma to heal from.
Who is Cole Goldberg?

Schwitzky is the CEO of a Miami-based talent agency, and most famous for her time on 90 Day Fiance.
So who is Goldberg?
The Cinemaholic reports, "Cole Goldberg graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and now appears to be a self-made entrepreneur. Apart from establishing the brand, I Am, in 2021, Cole is also listed as the Chief Executive Officer of Cabana Beach, a company that plans and sets up beach trips for interested clients."
Although they've only been together for about a year, by all appearances Goldberg and Schwitzky had a happy relationship.
However, Goldberg's vicious attack on Schwitzky reminds us that appearances can be deceiving, and it's likely that some domestic abuse occurred behind the scenes before the public and horrifying incident over the weekend.
Not every domestic violence situation ends with the victim living – and it's solely due to the action of witnesses and bystanders that Schwitzky is still alive to tell her harrowing tale.
Goldberg is currently out and awaiting trial after posting a $60,000 bond.
Schwitzky is working to heal, but the real damage will take much longer than bruises to fade.
