The She’s the Man actress attendance at 90’s Con was highly anticipated however, she dropped out on Friday, March 17, shortly before the event began. That’s 2 Entertainment, the team who put together the event, announced the news stating that Bynes was suffering from an undisclosed illness.

According to TMZ, on Sunday, March 19, Bynes was found walking through downtown LA without any clothes on. She reportedly waved down a passing car and informed the driver that she was coming down from a psychotic episode. The Nickelodeon star called 911 on her own and was brought to a police station where she was later put on a 5150 psychiatric hold. This allows a person who is living in a mental health crisis to be detained for 72 hours to save them from harming themselves or others.

Bynes’s longtime attorney was unable to comment however, a source close to the former actress shared “she hasn’t been in contact with her family for quite some time.”

During the All That panel on Saturday, March 18, the former costars of Bynes shared their support by asking fans to “send a prayer” to Bynes amid her health, although they didn’t disclose any details.

What Happened To Amanda Bynes?

The Easy A actress was the girl that everyone wanted to be and know throughout the height of her career. So what happened?

In August 2013, Bynes was placed under a temporary conservatorship following a multitude of mental health and substance abuse struggles. Her mother, Lynn Bynes, was named the conservator of Amanda’s health care and personal matters, one year later.

By August 2021, Amanda’s mother continued to have control over medical decisions however the conservatorship of the All That alum’s estate was terminated.

Last year, Amanda filed a petition to terminate her conservatorship entirely and by February 2022 a psychiatrist noted that the former actress has “no apparent impairment in alertness and attention, information and processing or ability to modulate mood and affect and suffer no thought disorders.” A month later her conservatorship was put to an end with the support of her mother. A source exclusively told Us Weekly in March 2022, “She’s doing great both physically and mentally. She’s elated the judge agreed with her request and is determined to make the most of this next chapter.”

Unfortunately, not long after the conservatorship came to an end, Amanda was back in the news when the police were called to her home with her then-fiance Paul Michael. Amanda claimed that his behavior began to concern her however, Michael denied the claims.

Sending out love to Amanda and hoping the best for her coming back from this weekend.
