Amy Schumer Brings 'Whore Tour' To Resorts World in Las Vegas

Amy Schumer is taking her whore tour all over America. No, that’s not a typo, the tour is called “Amy Schumer’s Whore Tour,” and it just added new stops including a one-night only show at Resorts World in Las Vegas.

The Whore Truth And Nothing But The Truth

Amy Schumer has been all over the country with her latest material. Recent stops include Atlanta and Tampa. Schumer will be touring on the East Coast through the beginning of October before jumping over to the Pacific Northwest and moving east to Texas. Her stop over in Vegas will be Saturday, November 5.

The tour will then jump around California before its final stop in Los Angeles where Schumer will tape her next special on December 10 from the famed Orpheum Theater. The tour is being touted as Schumer’s best yet with incredible energy that Amy is known to deliver on stage.

Viva Las Vegas

The last time Schumer performed in Las Vegas was just after her co-hosting the 94th Academy Awards in March. You know, those Oscars. The one with the slap seen around the world in which Will Smith struck fellow comedian Chris Rock live on air.

That incident came after Rock made a joke about Jada Smith’s hair that neither she nor Will appreciated. And well, the rest is history.

When Schumer visited Vegas in early April (just weeks after the Oscars) she discussed the incident with the crowd for the first time. Celeb Magazine was there and rather than give a play-by-play of the evening, Schumer made fun of the incident saying sarcastically, “I don’t even know what to say about the Oscars. I have no jokes about it.” She went on to joke, “did that cross your news feed?” Schumer continued on adding, “It is such a bummer.” Schumer told the crowd at the Mirage that she was “feeling herself” after her monologue and “then all of the sudden Ali was making his way up [to the stage]."

The comedian then went on to tell jokes that the Academy did not approve for air including a wisecrack about Alec Baldwin.

Busy As A Mother…

In addition to the Whore Tour, Amy has been appearing a lot on television. She created, wrote, directed and starred in Life & Beth. The ten-episode dramedy co-starred Michael Cerra, Yamaneika Saunders and Michael Rapaport and focused on Schumer's character of Beth and her oddly hilarious, yet sad life. The show was widely praised by critics (including yours truly) and was given a second season on Hulu.

Also on Hulu, Schumer appeared in a couple of episodes this spring of The Kardashians. The show featured Amy’s friendship with Kim Kardashian and chronicled Schumer helping Kim write jokes for her SNL monologue in October of 2021.

Most recently however, Schumer appeared in Only Murders in the Building (also on Hulu) alongside Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short. Schumer played herself in the show and was a resident who bought Sting’s old apartment in the Arconia.

After her tour wraps it is reported that Schumer will join the cast of the Jerry Seinfeld movie Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story. The comedy also stars Melissa McCarthy (God’s Favorite Idiot), Jim Gaffigan (Linoleum), and Hugh Grant (The Undoing) with Seinfeld starring in and directing the project for Netflix.

Resorts World Turns into Comedy World

In the meantime, tickets for her show at Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas are on presale now, with general public tickets going on sale Friday, September 16. Tickets start at $69 and are found at either axs.com or rwlasvegas.com/entertainment

Resorts World will be the place for many of Las Vegas’ funniest folks. Two weeks after Schumer they are hosting Kevin Hart for two nights on November 15 and 16. While performing there Hart will also tape his next special (his eighth) from Resorts World. No word on when and where that is airing just yet.
