Andy Cohen hasn’t completely written off the idea of Kris Jenner appearing on a future season of The Real Housewives

Andy Cohen and Kris Jenner

Andy Cohen hasn’t completely written off the idea of Kris Jenner appearing on a future season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Although the Real Housewives creator and producer has denied that the longtime Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has been added to the show for season 11, he recently confirmed that when it comes to the series’ potential 12th season, Kris could be a real contender.

“That’s an interesting one,” he told friend Kelly Ripa during an Instagram live appearance on September 17. “I think the short answer is no because she’s committed to filming the final season of [Keeping Up With the Kardashians] but she’s legitimately friends with Kyle and knows the other women.”

While it may not be possible for Kris to join the show right now, Andy said he was hopeful that he and Kris would be able to sit down with one another in the future and discuss a possible role on season 12.

”That’s a conversation that should be on the table a year from now,” he shared.

Kris Jenner Began Facing Rumors of a ‘RHOBH’ Addition After the End of ‘KUWTK’ Was Confirmed

As fans may have seen, fans on social media began begging Andy to cast Kris for an upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after her daughter, Kim Kardashian, confirmed on Instagram that their family’s reality show would be coming to an end in 2021 after its 20th season.

A short time later, Andy addressed Kris’ potential addition to the show during an episode of his Radio Andy talk show, Andy Cohen Live. At the time, he told his listeners that if he and his Bravo team were able to get Kris to sign a deal with the network, it would be a “huge get” for the series.

“I got so many DMs and tweets saying, ‘Kris should join the [Real Housewives]. She is good friends with [Kyle Richards], this should happen, make it happen,’” Andy revealed. “And then I tweeted that I would be talking about it on the radio today and I got a whole bunch of tweets saying, ‘Don’t do it.’ It’s so interesting to me.”

While Andy’s fans and followers on Instagram and Twitter seemed to have mixed emotions regarding Kris being featured on the show, he said that he believes it would be a really good thing for the show and the network.

“I think it would be a huge get,” he admitted.

Not only is Kris a major celebrity, she’s also someone who has preexisting ties to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which is always an ideal scenario when it comes to casting new women.

”She’s good buddies with Kyle, no joke. She knows everyone on the show. She is buddies with [Lisa Rinna], I think,” Andy explained.

Andy Cohen Fears Jenner Would Not Join ‘RHOBH’

Despite being friends with at least two of the show’s current cast members, Andy isn’t so sure that Kris would entertain the idea of becoming a housewife. After all, embarking on a full-time position on the series would be a much different experience than she’s had with Keeping Up Wth the Kardashians.

“I don’t think she would do it,” Andy admitted.

According to Andy, he doesn’t think that Kris would want to expose her life to the Bravo cameras without having some sort of control regarding the editing of the show. After all, when it comes to her time on her E! series, she’s been acting as an executive producer on the show for years and knows what is going to be seen on episodes before they air.

“She is leaving a show for which she has total control over. Why would she leave and join a show that she has no control over?” Andy wondered. “She wouldn’t be an executive producer of the show. She wouldn’t have control over the edits. So, I think for someone who is used to having so much power over a show, I can’t see her surrendering that power.”

Although Andy appeared to be convinced that Kris wouldn’t be open to starring on a reality series with no producer rights, a Keeping Up With the Kardashians aficionado who called into his radio show felt that it may be a nice break for Kris to be able to showcase her life without the responsibility of producing.

Kyle Richards and Caitlyn Jenner React to the Possibility of Kris Joining RHOBH

On Instagram, after a Bravo fan page poked fun at the rumors regarding Kris’ potentially upcoming stint on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills by suggesting it would never happen, if they they would love it to, Kyle Richards weighed in and prompted hope for Kris’ many fans.

“Noooo you never know,” Kyle replied to the idea that Kris would never be seen on the show, as captured by the Comments by Bravo page on Instagram.

Days later, Kris’ former husband, Caitlyn Jenner, appeared on Access Hollywood, where she shared her thoughts on Kris appearing on the series.

“Well, put it this way, Kris could handle all of those women and some others, yes. That’s kind of in her element,” Caitlyn said. “I think she would do really well. She would have a lot to say with all these girls. Plus, like Lisa Rinna, and this and that, they’re all best friends. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen her on the show just as a guest spot.”

“She would be phenomenal on that show,” Caitlyn added.

Then, after being asked if she would ever join the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which has also been reported, Caitlyn confirmed that at this point in time, she was planning to allow Kris to entertain the possibility as she focused on other projects, including her YouTube series.

“Right now, we’ll let Kris do it [but] I’m always looking for stuff,” she explained.

Caitlynn Talks About KUWTK Ending

Also during the interview, Caitlynn opened up about the end of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, saying that the many seasons have served as a backlog of “home movies.” He then applauded his kids for doing such amazing things with their lives.

“I have to admit, all my kids have done just an amazing job, but as a parent, you spend all your time — 23 years of my life — carpooling people around,” she said. “Every day, you’re with them, and then you teach them to be independent, smart, good citizens and go out there into the world. And then, damn it, they do that.”

“So you don’t see them as much as you used to, and every parent goes through this. You don’t see them as much as you used to, and you love your kids, so it’s always kind of tough on a parent,” she continued. “And so, I don’t know, I got a little sentimental and started watching some of these old clips of my old life.”

While Kris hasn’t spoke of the matter herself, an insider recently told People magazine that she “seems intrigued by the show and hasn’t dismissed joining it.”

The final episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 10, the “Secrets Revealed” episode, airs next Wednesday, September 23, at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
