There is so much to look forward to for us Ariana Grande fans, that we don’t even know where to start, TBH. Yep, just hours after the singer announced that her upcoming sixth studio album is going to drop “this month,” news hit the web that she has also been cast in a new movie called Don’t Look Up!

But wait, what is the upcoming flick going to be about, you ask? Who will Grande play? Are there any other big celebrities starring in it? What about her album — what do we know about that? Not to worry, people, because we went ahead and rounded up everything you need to know.

Who Else Is Going To Star In ‘Don’t Look Up?’

Just wait until you see the star-studded cast of Don’t Look Up. Drum roll please… According to Deadline, Jennifer Lawrence, Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Himesh Patel, Timothée Chalamet, Kid Cudi, Matthew Perry and Tomer Sisley have all been cast in the film. Wow, talk about a dream team! Netflix has reportedly teamed up with Adam McKay (who was behind movies like Step Brothers, Anchorman, The Big Short and more) to make the movie.

The outlet reported that the movie will follow “two low-level astronomers who embark on a media tour to warn mankind of an approaching asteroid that will destroy Earth.” How awesome does that sound?! It’s unfortuantely still unclear who Grande will play, but either way, we know this movie is going to be amazing.

What Do We Know About Ariana Grande’s Upcoming Album?

The singer announced via Twitter on October 14, 2020, that her new songs were officially coming out “this month” after weeks of anticipation, and naturally, fans quickly went into a frenzy.

“I can’t wait to give you my album this month,” she wrote.

Previously, Tayla Parx (who has worked with the “Dangerous Woman” songstress numerous times in the past) confirmed the exciting news that the LP was done on September 23, 2020.

“The ‘Thank U, Next’ crew did get back together over quarantine — after like, five COVID tests, literally. We just kind of let it happen naturally, same way as the last album. I can tell you she’s made, yet again, another evolution,” the singer and songwriter told Business Insider. “I’m excited for her to tell you guys just more about where her head was at with this project, because it truly is incredible.”

Grande Was First Spotted In The Studio In January

Ariana Grande

Back in January 2020 (only a few months after her live Sweetener Tour album came out), musician Njomza and producer Tommy Brown shared pictures that showed Grande in the studio, and everyone was pretty excited about it. Since then, she has posted a few more snaps from inside the recording booth, and every time she did, it makes us even more antsy to hear what she’s been working on!

She’s Teased Some Of Her New Songs Online Since Then

In February 2020, the Victorious alum teased her upcoming music when she posted a pic of her computer screen, and it showed files that were seemingly her new songs! But she unfortunately covered their names.

“I should not post this but f**k it,” she captioned the post. “It’s a playlist of things I’ve made since I’ve been home. I love this s**t I can’t help it.”

And when a fan replied and told her to “take a break,” Grande added, “I am antsy and inspired. I miss feeding my children I am bored.”

“Wish I could play [you] things as I make them… but… inspired and not resting and nothing has changed. [Just] thought [you] should know,” she wrote in a separate post. “OK, that’s enough for now. I promise nothing’s happening yet. Just had to get that off my chest. Love [you] way too much.”

Then, on March 24, 2020, the 27-year-old posted a snippet of one of her new songs to Instagram!

“I miss making things, can’t wait to get back to work,” she wrote, alongside a video that had the unreleased track playing in the background.

On September 14, 2020, she teased her new tunes again when she posted a video of her singing one of them to Twitter.

Do We Know The Name Of Any Of Her New Songs?

On June 16, 2020, some eagle-eyed fans noticed that the former Nickelodeon star had registered a new song called “My Hair” to GEMA, a music database that helps artist get paid! It was cowritten by Victoria Monet, Parx and Brown — the same crew who has worked on some of her biggest hits of all time.

Are There Going To Be Any Collabs On The Album?

Ariana Grande

Some fans are convinced that the actress is going to have a song with K-Pop BTS on the upcoming LP. Why? Well, she has been spotted hanging with them a few times, plus, Jungkook posted a video of himself singing a song that sounded extremely similar to one of the unreleased songs that she had teased in the past. Please let this be true!

Unfortunately, there’s no official release date for it just yet, but we hope the artist announces something soon!
