As Arrest Rumors Mount, Donald Trump Decries FBI Raid of ‘The Pillow Guy’ Mike Lindell, Calls US ‘Weaponized Police State’

Big news is swirling this week in Washington after the former POTUS Donald Trump made an unscheduled visit to his Virginia golf course, returning to DC for only the second time since leaving office in January 2021.
Many speculated that Trump, who met at the course with high-profile legal counsel but did not golf, could be facing an impending arrest issued by the Department of Justice and FBI. But for now, any possible arrest remains speculative. What isn't speculative is the 40 subpoenas issued last week by the January 6 House panel investigating the Capitol riots.
The scope has continued to broaden where Trump and allies expected it to be wrapping up by now, and one Trump stalwart shared yesterday that his phone was seized by the FBI – and it made Trump furious.

Trump Lashes Out Furiously over FBI Raid of Mike Lindell, ‘The Pillow Guy’
Trump took to Truth Social late Tuesday to blast the FBI, writing, "Breaking News: Mike Lindell, 'THE Pillow Guy,' was just raided by the FBI. We are now officially living in a Weaponized Police State, Rigged Elections, and all. Our Country is a laughing stock all over the World. The majesty of the United States is gone. Can’t let this happen. TAKE BACK AMERICA!"
It's the latest volley in a furious "truth-storm" on social media from the Former POTUS (FPOTUS) this week that included extremist content from the so-called "Q-Anon" group.
Some of Trump's posts included the Q catchphrase, "WWG1WGA" (Where We Go 1, We Go All) and "the storm is coming," leading domestic terrorist experts to sound the warning bells.
When Trump shares and amplifies extremist content such as that produced by Q-Anon followers, experts warn that the danger rises for all citizens – case in point, the riots on January 6, 2021.
But whether or not Trump is aware that the phrases belong to the extremist groups or just believes they resonate with his followers is unclear. What is clear is that he believes Lindell was unfairly targeted by the FBI. Trump again posted on Truth Social this morning, adding, "Why aren’t they going after the people that RIGGED the Election? Massive amounts of irrefutable evidence. They are only interested in those seeking the TRUTH! Third World Country."
Lindsey Graham’s Weird Abortion Ban Timing
Legislative Text of Protecting Pain-Capable Unborn Children from Late-Term Abortions Act.

If there's anything the Republicans need right now, it's good press.
Heading into the midterms in November, Republicans were expected to win handily – until the Supreme Court (SCOTUS) overturned Roe v Wade, opening the door to dozens of abortion bans across the country.
It energized opposition voters and spurred erstwhile fence-sitters to head to the polls this Fall, and could cause the Republicans problems as they attempt to seize the majority in the House and Senate.
So Senator Lindsey Graham's (R-SC) newest move has many strategists scratching their heads. Graham recently drafted legislation that would introduce a total abortion ban across the country after 15 weeks of pregnancy. While this move will appeal broadly to hard-line conservative voters, it will push away Independents and swing voters the Republicans will need to keep their midterm plans in place.
Republicans are already battling uphill against the drama of Donald Trump, and Graham's newest moves may do them new favors.
