More than one year after they went their separate ways, Bella Thorne and her ex-girlfriend Tana Mongeau are in the midst of a major Twitter feud! Yep, the former Disney star just completely shaded the YouTuber in a series of tweets, and we’re here to break down all the drama for you. Here’s why they’re fighting and what went down during their relationship…
It All Started When Bella Thorne Released A Song Seemingly About Tana Mongeau
So the drama all started when Thorne dropped a new song called “Stupid F**king B***h” in early December, and many people started to think that the track was inspired by Mongeau.
“You’re a stupid f**king b***h, but you already know this / And you let me see your tits, but I’m still not over it / You wanted me for clout, and I should’ve thrown you out / But I never resist the way you bite your lower lip / All my friends think you’re a b***h / They wish I was over it,” the lyrics read. “Should’ve left you in a ditch / But I’m not over it (that’s right) / I’m not over it / ‘Cause I’m a stupid f**king b***h.”
And although she didn’t call her out by name, while promoting the song on December 18, 2020, the former Disney star seemed to throw some more shade towards her ex.
“She wishes she was me,” Thorne wrote on Twitter, alongside the hashtag “#SFB” for the song. “When she tries so hard to be relevant she won’t stop bringing up your name for attention… Girl. Can’t get your own attention, stop.”
Tana Mongeau Wasn’t Here For Bella Thorne Shading Her
Then, on December 20, 2020, Mongeau replied to her posts with a message of her own. She fired back, “Not me up at 5 A.M. absolutely still bamboozled that Bella Thorne tweeted I want to be her.”
The social media star even claimed that she didn’t need to bring up Thorne’s name for attention, since her tweets get more likes than the actress’.
“[You got] 749 favorites in a day and my tweets have more, and you’re worried about my relevancy? @ me next time and unfollow me while you’re at it,” she tweeted to Thorne. Mongeau added in one final message, “Imagine taking the time to write, direct and fund [an] entire song about me called ‘Stupid F**king B***h’ and also being Bella Thorne SMFH. I’m honestly done being walked on by s**tty people and looking like the bad person. I’d rather go out exposing and swinging. Let’s go b***h.”
The blonde beauty also shared a video of herself listening to the song on TikTok, which she captioned, “I absolutely can not believe this isn’t a fever dream haha. Can 2020 be over? I beg.” Thorne did not reply any further to Mongea’s posts.
What Happened Between Bella Thorne And Tana Mongeau When They Dated?
Mongeau and Bella first sparked romance rumors in 2017, when they were spotted kissing at the Life Is Beautiful music festival. After that, they quickly became inseparable, and the influencer later revealed in a YouTube video that it was love at first site for her. She admitted, “For me, it was very much instant love, instant infatuation, instant obsession, and my entire life became Bella, Bella, Bella.”
But in February 2019, they shocked the entire world when they announced that they were going their separate ways. Unfortunately, they didn’t give much insight into why they were splitting or what went wrong.
“Tana and I aren’t together anymore, [please] stop asking. We love you guys,” Thorne tweeted at the time. Mongeau also wrote in a post of her own, “I love her forever don’t get that twisted. She changed my life forever. Don’t really wanna talk on it… There’s no negativity at all.”
This Isn’t The First Time They Feuded
Although it seemed like things were all good between them after they broke up — they were spotted hanging out a few times and Thorne publicly congratulated Mongeau on her engagement to Jake Paul — things quickly turned sour when the 22-year-old was caught going out to dinner with Thorne’s ex, Mod Sun.
“She broke girl code I’m over it,” the Shake It Up alum tweeted at the time.
Mongeau replied, “????? imagine taking every time you’re mad at me to Twitter but then telling people how much you care about me… WTF is this B?”
“You legit started dating me for Twitter… How about you answer your phone and talk to me instead of being on Twitter,” Thorne fired back. Mongeau added, “Dude what are you doing Bella? Like I have no idea why you’re mad, I’ve been texting you every minute since you tweeted, and for you to be tweeting me something as hurtful as saying I dated you for Twitter is literally (expletive) nuts and if you honestly think that d**n I lost you.”
