Even after her separation from estranged husband Sam Asghari, the “Toxic” singer continues to maintain a distance from her family due to years of tension and mistrust between them.

“Everyone is on board and poised to help her,” an insider revealed, including people like her mother, Lynne Spears, and sister Jamie Lynn Spears. “But she’s not accepting it. Britney doesn’t trust them and thinks everyone wants to control her.”

Britney Spears, who is 41, has chosen to keep her inner circle small following her high-profile split. Her best friend and manager, Cade Hudson, is among the few individuals “she does trust” during this challenging period. “He offered his home to her. But Britney says she’s enjoying her freedom,” explained an insider.

The singer’s marriage to Sam Asghari, which lasted a year, came to an end earlier this month after their relationship became tumultuous, with Asghari accusing Britney of infidelity. “He still loves Britney, but he became convinced she cheated on him. It broke his heart,” a source noted.

“He put up with a lot over the years, and he really thought it would work out, that marriage might change things. He was dead wrong,” added the insider.

As Britney Spears navigates this challenging phase, she appears to be maintaining her independence and being selective about who she trusts, particularly when it comes to her family.
