Buffalo Gunman Payton Gendron and his Heinous Crime

After an hours-long sentencing hearing, Gendron was handed down the sentence of life in prison without possibility of parole.

Washington Examiner reports, “Payton Gendron, 19, was sentenced on Wednesday after pleading guilty in November 2022 to 15 criminal charges, including domestic terrorism and first-degree murder. On May 14, Gendron opened fire in a Tops Friendly Markets in Buffalo, New York, killing 10 people and injuring three others.

The supermarket was located in a predominantly black area of Buffalo, and all of the victims killed were black, an intentional move on Gendron’s part. He posted a 180-page manifesto online in which he confessed to the attack and said his actions were racially motivated. He labeled himself as a fascist, white supremacist, and antisemite.”

During sentencing, the judge told Gendron, “You’ll never see the light of day as a free man ever again.”

Relative Lunges at Payton Gendron During Sentencing

During one of the most dramatic scenes to play out in a court room in a long time, a loved one of one of the victims of Gendron’s horrifying attack lunged at the gunman as he sat for sentencing.

In the video, two people are seen facing off with Gendron as he sits with his counsel.

One of them, Barbara Massey, lost her 72-year-old sister Katherine Massey to the massacre. She addresses Gendron in a heated exchange.

All of a sudden, one of the relatives of the victims lunged towards Gendron and chaos erupts. The man, wearing a gray sweatshirt, yells, “You don’t know what we’re going through!”

It takes multiple officers and attorneys to subdue the grieving and furious man as officers rush Gendron out of the room.

It was a heartbreaking reminder of the pain and frustration the families have faced as Gendron continues to live while their loved ones died from his violent attack.
