It’s 2021 and it seems like we should be able to have our vodka and eat it too. Well you can do just that with Cardi B and Starco Brands’ newest launch, Whipshots. A creative new approach to liquor-infused whipped cream, Whipshots are the tasty treat you didn’t know you needed to top your favorite holiday drinks and dishes. What exactly is a Whipshot? Cardi B has had a busy year. All year she’s been turning heads on the red carpet, and gave birth to her second child – with husband Offset – in early September. Whether she’s rocking the stage or wowing on the red carpet, Cardi B has built her career to grow.

Almanzar was born October 11, 1992 in the Bronx, and raised in the same area. The daughter of a Dominican father and Trinidadian mother, Almanzar spent a lot of time at her Grandmother’s house in Washington Heights, to which she credits her strong accent. The American rapper first gained popularity as a stripper in her early 20’s before becoming an online sensation because of her rap skills and no-filter, no-nonsense attitude. 

Almanzar’s website shares in her bio, “As a youth, Cardi B was a member of the Bloods, and has said she was a gang member since the age of 16.. She went on to attend Renaissance High School For Musical Theater & Technology, a small specialty school on the Herbert H. Lehman campus.

During her teenage years, Cardi B was employed at an Amish supermarket in Lower Manhattan, which was the last job that she held before turning to stripping at the age of 19. Upon being fired from the supermarket, her former manager recommended she work at a strip club. She has said she became a stripper to escape poverty and domestic violence, having been in an abusive relationship at the time. Cardi B has also said becoming a stripper was positive for her life in many ways: ‘It really saved me from a lot of things. When I started stripping I went back to school.’ She says stripping was her only way out, a way to earn enough money to escape her dire situation and get an education. Nonetheless, she eventually dropped out of college.”

In 2013, Almanzar began going viral online through Vine and other social media apps, and in 2015 she made her musical debut with Shaggy’s remix to his single, “Boom Boom.” It was quickly clear that “Cardi B” was something special, and she soon began gaining traction as a rapper and online sensation. The rapper has worked with superstars such as Nicki Minaj, and has received around two dozen award nominations, winning 3 Grammys, 1 Billboard Music Award and 3 MTv Music Video Awards.

In 2021, she came back to performing after the pause of the pandemic and is now back to being the queen of what she does best: unfiltered skills.
