When news hit the web that Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich had called off their engagement only two months after the actor had popped the question, fans were left pretty shook.
“It was a tough decision, but Demi and Max have decided to go their separate ways to focus on their respective careers,” a source close to the pair told People Magazine about the split. “They have respect and love for one another and will always cherish the time they spent together.”
The High School Musical 3 alum later confirmed the breakup via his Instagram Stories, and he even claimed that he found out that the “Sober” songstress wanted to end their relationship by reading about it online! Yikes!
“Imagine finding out… the status of your relationship through a tabloid,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories. “While you’re in the middle of filming a biopic movie about a pastor in a Christian church whose intention of the film is to help people.”
