The forecast for the 2021 football season predicted heavy enthusiasm, but nobody could foresee the craziness that touched down at Circa Resort & Casino in Downtown Las Vegas. With over forty college football games spanning from morning till night this past Saturday, to the commencement of the season’s first NFL Sunday, the sports-oriented resort was jam-packed with football fans from across the country.
Why the swarm of thousands? Circa boasts two prime sports viewing locations, each with record-breaking attributes. Their three-story sportsbook serves as the largest in the world, complete with a 78 million pixel screen and stadium seating. Guests can even enjoy the sportsbook from surrounding bar top games, as well as from the property’s game day hot spot, Victory Burger & Wings Co. which offers its very own active scoreboard and podcast area.
Circa’s pool area is something that has to be experienced to be comprehended. Owner/CEO Derek Stevens envisioned a year-round pool amphitheater and brought it to life. The multi-level pool deck consists of six temperature-controlled pools, 30 cabanas, 34 day beds, 10 lily pads, and a 143 foot diagonal screen. The biggest games are broadcasted in full audio, and their resident DJs spin remixes of today’s top hits during the commercial breaks. This past weekend, the venue was buzzing with energy that could rival the football stadiums.
Circa saw jerseys of all colors, as fans from all over the place geared up for the games thanks to the property’s newest addition – Lids. That’s right – the sports retailer opened its first-ever casino location right before football weekend.
As usual, some famous faces were spotted in the crowd. WWE star Dolph Ziggler eagerly posted an Instagram photo from his hotel room, which showcased his view of Stadium Swim, as well as his Circa Sports ticket, after eagerly betting on the Cleveland Browns. Following a nail-biting game that resulted in a Browns loss, Ziggler ate his feelings (and a little more) at Circa’s famous steakhouse, Barry’s Downtown Prime. He received a special greeting from co-owner/chef Barry Dakake, before running into his wrestling friends Matt Cardona (formerly Zack Ryder from WWE) and fiancee, Chelsea Green. The couple currently appears on Impact Wrestling, but are also known for their time spent in WWE.
The famed steakhouse didn’t slow down, as players from the defensive line of the Las Vegas Raiders stopped by to fuel up for their first regular season game on Monday. Also among the dinner crew was wide receiver Henry Ruggs III, who was spotted enjoying some of the restaurant’s signature appetizers and entrees. The meal did the job, as the Raiders finished with an incredible win that mesmerized fans throughout Las Vegas, including those watching the action at Circa Resort & Casino.
With week one down, there are 17 weeks left in the football season, and Circa is paving the way as the end zone for locals, tourists, and celebrities.
