Amidst growing rumors of marital discord, a recent report suggests that actress Natalie Portman and her husband, Benjamin Millepied, have decided to end their eleven-year marriage.
After over a decade together, Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied appear to be heading for divorce following a period of alleged turbulence in their relationship. The Oscar-winning actress, 42, and the French dance choreographer, 46, have reportedly chosen to separate. An inside source disclosed to Us Weekly that their decision follows revelations of an affair involving Millepied. The couple has apparently been making efforts to mend their relationship in the wake of the affair’s disclosure, but they currently find themselves estranged. Although HollywoodLife reached out to Natalie’s representative for confirmation, no immediate response was received. The couple shares two children, a son named Aleph, aged 12, and a daughter named Amalia, aged 6.
The news of Natalie’s impending divorce follows reports of her husband’s alleged extramarital involvement. Notably, Natalie was photographed without her wedding ring upon her return to Australia on August 4. Earlier in the summer, pictures emerged of Natalie wiping away tears while sitting on a bench in a park alongside Benjamin and their children. These emotional images came out shortly after Benjamin attended a solo screening of his directorial debut film, Carmen, at the Pathe theater in Paris. Natalie also made a solo appearance at the French Open on June 7, flashing smiles.
On June 2, French outlet Voici reported Benjamin’s alleged affair. Although the news circulated, a source shared with PEOPLE that the affair was of a “short-lived” nature and that Benjamin and Natalie were “still together.” The source revealed that Benjamin deeply regretted his actions and was working tirelessly to earn Natalie’s forgiveness and preserve their family unity. The actress values her privacy and aims to shield her children from the media’s spotlight, making their well-being a top priority.
