Buffalo Bills Safety Damar Hamlin has officially been discharged from the hospital, according to team spokespeople.
Earlier this week, Hamlin was transferred from UC Health in Cincinnati to Buffalo General. There, he was kept under the care of doctors and monitored for recovery progress.
It would seem that his progress is significant enough that it’s safe for him to go home.
In a statement, the team announced Wednesday, “Hamlin was admitted Monday and went through a comprehensive medical evaluation as well as a series of cardiac, neurological and vascular testing on Tuesday.”

Hamlin has received an outpouring of support from fans and newly-found fans around the world ever since he collapsed on the football field January 2.

To show support for the 24-year-old star, people poured donations into a charitable foundation called Chasing M’s that he started. Chasing M’s provides necessary items and toys to children in need.
As of the publication of this article, the GoFundMe link for Chasing M’s has received over $8.7 million in donations.
