New couple alert?! Many fans are wondering if Demi Lovato and Noah Cyrus are dating after the pair was spotted holding hands while out and about at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles, CA, and we’re here to break it all down for you. Yep, in new photos obtained by Seventeen Magazine, the two stars could be seen walking hand-in-hand as they checked out the rides in the amusement park. So is this Hollywood’s hottest new couple? Here’s what you need to know about their rumored new relationship…
Demi Lovato And Noah Cyrus First Sparked Dating Rumors Back In March

The ladies actually first sparked dating rumors back in March 2021 when they recorded their song “Easy” together, which appeared on Lovato’s new album, Dancing With the Devil. At the time, they were spotted hanging out a lot and made frequent appearances on each other’s social media accounts, making people wonder if they were more than friends. However, a source insisted to Page Six at the time that nothing romantic was going on between them.
“They have dinner sometimes, but they’re not romantic,” an insider explained. “They got together for this song that sorta came together a bit last minute, and they hang out.”
Things fizzled out after that, that is, until recently when the Camp Rock alum — who recently came out as non-binary — and Miley Cyrus‘ little sister reunited and hit the stage together to perform their new song together at the YouTube Pride 2021 event. And after the show-stopping performance, Lovato took to Instagram to gush over the singer.
“Thank you @noahcyrus for closing out the night with me for @youtube’s pride 2021 celebration. I’m so happy we finally got to sing our song together,” they wrote.

“Thank you for having me,” Cyrus responded in a comment. “You were effortlessly perfect and I’m never not in awe of you.”
Demi Lovato Came Out As Pansexual In March 2021

Back in March — just a few months after Lovato had called off their engagement to Max Ehrich — the former Disney star opened up about their sexuality during an interview, and they said that they identified as pansexual — which meant they were attracted to men, women and “anything” in between.
“I’m so fluid now, and a part of the reason why I am so fluid is because I was, like, super closeted off,” they admitted. “I felt a lot of shame [about my sexuality] because growing up in Texas as a Christian, that’s very frowned upon. Any attraction that I ever had toward a female at a young age, I shut it down before I even let myself process what I was feeling.”
They also told Glamour, “When I started getting older, I started realizing how queer I really am. This past year, I was engaged to a man and when it didn’t work, I was like, ‘This is a huge sign.’ I thought I was going to spend my life with someone. Now that I wasn’t going to, I felt this sense of relief that I could live my truth.”
Then, in May, they announced that they were non-binary, writing on Instagram, “Over the past year and a half, I’ve been doing some healing and self-reflective work. And through this work, I’ve had the revelation that I identify as nonbinary. With that said, I’ll be officially changing my pronouns to they/them. This best represents the fluidity I feel in my gender expression and allows me to feel most authentic and true to the person I both know I am and am still discovering.”

Noah Cyrus Was Previously Linked To Tana Mongeau
Before her rumored relationship with Lovato, Cyrus sparked dating rumors with Tana Mongeau, after the YouTuber referred to the brunette beauty as her “girlfriend” on Instagram. Yep, Mongeau shared a snap of herself and Cyrus cozying up, just hours after they were spotted grabbing dinner together, which she captioned, “I mean ofc I had to take a break from Instagram until she was my girlfriend again.”

To fuel speculation even more, the “Make Me Cry” songstress revealed via Instagram one day later that the influencer had given her a giant teddy bear and flowers! How romantic is that?! And it turns out, that wasn’t the first time they sparked dating rumors. Back in September 2019, fans were left wondering if something was going on between them after they were caught packing on the PDA in a series of social media posts. But at the time, Cyrus insisted nothing was going on between them.
“Guys. We are friends,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories. “Relax.”
In December 2019, Mongeau opened up about their relationship. She explained, “I just love being around Noah. There’s something about her, even before I knew her, that has always inspired me. She’s so real, she’s so raw. The way she turns her emotions into art and cares about mental health and was born into this life, but turns it into something beautiful, is so inspiring to me. And I love to kick it with her. There is no tea. Like, that is the tea on that. I literally just like to spend time with her and care about her. Everything else just kind of makes it a mess.”
Before that, Cyrus dated rapper Smokepurpp, Machine Gun Kelly, DJ Diablo, Lil Xan and Tanner Drayton. As for Lovato, she was in relationships with Ehrich, Cody Linely, Alexander Deleon, Trace Cyrus, Joe Jonas, Wilmer Valderrama, Luke Rockhold, Guilherme Vasconcelos, Henri Levy, Mike Johnson and Austin Wilson over the years.
Demi Lovato And Max Ehrich’s Breakup Wasn’t Pretty

For those who forgot, Lovato and Ehrich were first spotted cozying up in March 2020. And a few months later, they shocked the world when they announced that they were engaged!
“I knew I loved you the moment I met you. It was something I can’t describe to anyone who hasn’t experienced it firsthand but luckily you did too… I’ve never felt so unconditionally loved by someone in my life (other than my parents) flaws and all,” Lovato gushed on Instagram at the time. “You never pressure me to be anything other than myself. And you make me want to be the best version of myself. I’m honored to accept your hand in marriage. I love you more than a caption could express but I’m ecstatic to start a family and life with you. I love you forever my baby. My partner. Here’s to our future!”
Although they seemed as happy as could be together, in September 2020, news hit the web that they had broken up. And when the whirlwind romance came to an end, it wasn’t pretty. Get this — the High School Musical 3 star actually took to his Instagram Stories to address the breakup news, and he claimed that he found out that their engagement was over from articles he read online.
“Imagine finding out… the status of your relationship through a tabloid,” he wrote. “While you’re in the middle of filming a biopic movie about a pastor in a Christian church whose intention of the film is to help people.”
Lovato later opened up about their split during their documentary, Dancing With the Devil, and they claimed that they said they “didn’t know the person they were engaged to.”
“I mean, I was just as shocked as the rest of the world at some of the things that were said and done,” they said about the comments he made after they went their separate ways.
