Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox are nothing if not sensational.
From famous PDA, sharing blood and over-sharing details of their private intimate lives, they've been a power couple on red carpets and across Hollywood since 2020. One of the few bright – or at least interesting – things to come out of the first year of the pandemic, MGK and Fox were either instantly your favorite thing or your least favorite thing to hear about.
Now though, they may be a thing of the past. Here are the reasons why fans believe the two called off their dream wedding and have taken a trip to Splitsville.
Evidence MGK and Megan May Have Called it Quits
For about two years, you couldn't find MGK without finding Fox, and vice versa. Where one went, the other was soon to follow.
From the red carpet to private vacations, shopping and everything in between – the pair was inseparable, even wearing each other's blood in jewelry.
Known for over-the-top PDA and overshares about their BDSM bedroom habits, they were Hollywood's favorite couple to roll your eyes at. But somehow the news that they may be broken up isn't bringing joy – it's bringing sorrow. Because love or hate them, they represented hope that love could grow when planted in strange places.
Breakup rumors first started swirling in May, when it seemed that MGK was getting jealous over Fox's time and attention. But the pair continued to show up together – until recently. The Sun reports, "One hint leading many to believe that the actress and the Bloody Valentine singer have parted ways is their lack of social media presence on each other's profiles in recent weeks.
A Gawker article titled 'Celebrity Breakup Watch: Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly,' published earlier this month, first pointed out the pair's online snaps or lack thereof.
Megan had not posted any photos with her fiancé on Instagram since May when she shared a gallery of images of them at the premiere of his new movie, Good Mourning."
But recently, crickets from both. The last time they appear together on each other's social media together was about 6 weeks ago on MGK's Instagram.
They also appear to be living separate lives, with MGK promoting his tour and Fox snapping sexy shots with Kourtney Kardashian.
While the couple hasn't made a formal break-up announcement, the thundering silence online speaks volumes.
A Relationship Timeline for MGK and Megan Fox
If we can't get any more cringe moments from Hollywood's favorite/least favorite couple, at least we can look back fondly on some memories of how far the two came in just two years.
It all started in March 2020, where the pair met on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass. Fox was fresh off a separation from her husband of 10 years and there were instant sparks between her and MGK.
In May 2020, pictures circulated of the pair out to eat together. Fox's ex-husband says the two are just friends, but by the end of the month MGK releases a music video with the pair getting hot and heavy.
By June 2020, they have announced that they're dating.
In the summer of 2020, the pair was interviewed together for the first time, and Fox told Entertainment Tonight, "I knew right away that he was what I call a twin flame. Instead of a soul mate, a twin flame is actually where a soul has ascended into a high enough level that it can be split into two different bodies at the same time. So we're actually two halves of the same soul, I think. And I said that to him almost immediately, because I felt it right away."
I call him 'cookie', I call him 'buddha', I call him booby
By December of their first year together, the two are already discussing the possibility of marriage.
But it wasn't until January of 2022 when the couple made their engagement official, despite the rumors of marriage and kids on the horizon for over a year.
It's ecstasy and agony for sure… I don't want people to think anything's perfect with us. I didn't say it was the darkest fairytale for no reason
Around May, trouble in paradise started to bubble to the surface. Perhaps their chemistry was too intense, or perhaps MGK was too jealous – both rumors have made the rounds since May.
And now fans really think that they've ended things. The pair is known for being unstoppably together in public – all the time – and happy to share their most intimate moments with the world.
The fact that these moments of BDSM bliss have stopped flowing through social media suggest at least that things are rocky, if not over.
As with many things in their relationship, the official announcement will likely take a while to be made – because although they're happy to share intimate details freely, they are much more cautious with the details of the status of their relationship.
