Last week, Donald Trump stunned the world by announcing through Truth Social that he would be arrested on Tuesday of this week.
It was not entirely unexpected. The Manhattan district attorney, Alvin Bragg, had been signaling for weeks that his investigation into illegally paid hush money would be wrapping up soon. And he was signaling that an indictment was coming soon.
But still, the former President’s announcement was sudden and accompanied by his request that supporters protest and “take our nation back.”
All while, don’t forget, he’s under investigation for inciting a violent and deadly riot on January 6, 2021.
Since that announcement, Trump has gone on several rants and screaming fits on Truth Social, his meltdowns showing that the former President may tell people he’s innocent – but he’s also pretty worried that he will actually be arrested.

Donald Trump Tells Supporters of His Impending Arrest
Over the weekend, Trump took to Truth Social to warn the world of his impending arrest. He wrote, “IT’S TIME!!! WE ARE A NATION IN STEEP DECLINE, BEING LED INTO WORLD WAR III BY A CROOKED POLITICIAN WHO DOESN’T EVEN KNOW HE’S ALIVE, BUT WHO IS SURROUNDED BY EVIL & SINISTER PEOPLE WHO, BASED ON THEIR ACTIONS ON DEFUNDING THE POLICE, DESTROYING OUR MILITARY, OPEN BORDERS, NO VOTER I.D., INFLATION, RAISING TAXES, & MUCH MORE, CAN ONLY HATE OUR NOW FAILING USA. WE JUST CAN’T ALLOW THIS ANYMORE. THEY’RE KILLING OUR NATION AS WE SIT BACK & WATCH. WE MUST SAVE AMERICA!PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST!!!”
And he added, “Page 2: NOW ILLEGAL LEAKS FROM A CORRUPT & HIGHLY POLITICAL MANHATTAN DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE, WHICH HAS ALLOWED NEW RECORDS TO BE SET IN VIOLENT CRIME & WHOSE LEADER IS FUNDED BY GEORGE SOROS, INDICATE THAT, WITH NO CRIME BEING ABLE TO BE PROVEN, & BASED ON AN OLD & FULLY DEBUNKED (BY NUMEROUS OTHER PROSECUTORS!) FAIRYTALE, THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!”
It’s worth noting that there were in fact no leaks from the DA’s office – he is the only one who could conceivably have been considered to leak the information.
It’s not uncommon for high profile suspects with a low flight risk to be informed of their upcoming arrest so that plans can be made for a discreet and peaceful transfer to custody. Especially considering the fact that law enforcement has to plan things out with Trump’s Secret Service protection.
But Trump’s announcement came as a surprise to many – and he hoped that the emotional announcement would inspire his supporters to rush to New York to defend him.
Trump Supporters Have Lackluster Response to His Rallying Cry

That hasn’t seemed to happen. For the most part, his supporters seem a little gun shy after hundreds of January 6 protestors were arrested and face prison time for their involvement in the deadly riots. Others think it’s a waste of time.
So instead of the rush to his defense that Trump expected, it seems more like a trickle – and he’s melting down over the prospect that people won’t stop his arrest from happening.
Since making the announcement, Trump has made multiple screaming posts on Truth Social that accuse Manhattan DA Alvin Brag of “reverse” racism, political motivations, and coming for him over a crime he claims he didn’t commit. Even as he highlights the possible statute of limitations over such a crime.
At one point, he tried to frighten supporters into feeling like they’re being targeted, ranting, “REMEMBER, THE SAME ANIMALS AND THUGS THAT WOULD DO THIS TO PERHAPS 200 MILLION PEOPLE, BUT ACTUALLY ALL AMERICANS, ARE THE COMMUNISTS, MARXISTS, RINOS, AND LOSERS THAT ARE PURPOSEFULLY DESTROYING OUR COUNTRY!”
Amid other screaming rants, Trump wrote, “They are MANY years beyond the Statute of Limitations which, in this instance, is TWO YEARS. More importantly, THERE WAS NO CRIME!!!”
Trump was up late last night, and up early posting.
All in all, Trump’s response on Truth since the news of his impending arrest came out shows that he’s in full panic and meltdown mode. For the first time in his life, former POTUS Trump may not be able to avoid the piper – and may find himself booked and fingerprinted.

But, interestingly, Trump may not even be arrested on Tuesday.
The grand jury team overseeing the investigation into the Stormy Daniels “hush money” cash meets three times a week – Monday, Wednesday and Friday – in three-hour, afternoon sessions.
Over the weekend, sources announced that the jury would be hearing testimony from one final witness. This expert witness is expected to refute the damning testimony of former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, and could change plans for indictment.
But either way, after the testimony is heard a few things have to happen before indictment.
First, the charges will be read one by one, knowing as “charging” the jury. And then, the grand jury deliberates. If they deliberate quickly, an indictment could be sealed and sent for processing as soon as late Monday.
Business Insider reports, “Once the charge has ended, the prosecutor, court officer, and stenographer leave the room, and the grand jurors begin deliberating.
If 12 or more reach a vote to indict, the foreperson would be given the hard-copy indictment to sign, at which point the former president would officially, though secretly, be under indictment.
That hard-copy indictment would then be walked over to a nearby clerk’s office, where it is filed under seal. It would be unsealed at Trump’s arraignment, though Bragg could ask a judge to unseal it early, given the great public interest.”
More likely, Wednesday or Friday will be the day they conclude deliberations.
But that doesn’t mean he’d be arrested Wednesday or Friday – it could happen any time after the jury recommends a criminal indictment, if they do.
Trump may have jumped the gun a little bit on telling protestors to meet on Tuesday, and they could find themselves standing around waiting.
