Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social early Friday to blast President Joe Biden‘s administration as “rigging dogs.” He called lawsuits and criminal cases against him “corrupt trials” and warned that he would not let 2020 “happen again.” As Trump prepares to be handed bad news in the civil lawsuit unfolding in New York, he’s starting to turn his attention toward the rest of his court cases. And it’s clear that the former POTUS is not happy with what he sees.
Trump Promises to ‘Successfully Fight Political Opponent Lawsuits’
Right now, one of the points working most in Donald Trump’s favor is the power of image. Trump promises to win, so his followers believe he can win. That’s not to say that he can’t win, or hasn’t won in the past. But it’s the idea that he has won before and promises to win again that is convincing.
Trump has always harnessed that power, and he’s turning it up in recent days. Especially as nationwide polls for a hypothetical 2024 matchup against Joe Biden start to swing in Trump’s favor. Trump revisited the power of the image again today on Truth Social.
Trump wrote, “As I successfully fight these Political Opponent Lawsuits, all created and started by Crooked Joe Biden and his group of Radical Left Thugs, I realize how insignificant they are compared to the horror of what is going on with Israel and the Middle East, where thousands of people have so needlessly died, in a war that should have NEVER STARTED, and millions could very easily follow, all due to the highly incompetent Biden Administration and their policies of Weakness and Appeasement (and of being just plain STUPID!).” The former POTUS then said that the same could be said of Ukraine and other “hot spots” around the globe.

He then added, “Even INFLATION, a killer in its own right, would not have happened. So let them keep suing me over BULL—T, in their hope of Election Interference, as our Country becomes disabled and dies. We will successfully fight it all, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, GREATER THAN EVER BEFORE!”
The image Trump wants to project, that he will win against all challenges arrayed against him, is likely at least somewhat false. Even with his record of winning, it would be hard for him to escape completely unscathed from the trials lining up against him.

But Donald Trump doesn’t need to win them all. He just needs people to believe that he can win them. And then he needs to convince them that the ones he loses were rigged against him. It’s all straight from the Donald Trump Playbook – and it’s working.
In another early morning post on Truth Social, Trump again took the fight to the Biden administration, calling them “rigging dogs.” He wrote, “Does anyone notice that the Election Rigging Biden Administration never goes after the Riggers, but only after those that want to catch and expose the Rigging dogs. Massive information and 100% evidence will be made available during the Corrupt Trials started by our Political Opponent.”
Trump then concluded ominously, “We will never let 2020 happen again. Look at the result, OUR COUNTRY IS BEING DESTROYED. MAGA!!!”
Some see Trump as a bad bet for Republicans in 2024. He’s already lost an election to Biden, and his circus of legal woes doesn’t bode well. However, Trump continues to prove time and time again that he doesn’t have to win to win. He just has to convince people to believe that he can. On the flip side, Biden has to convince people that he can do something many believe he’s failed to do for three years and get the economy and foreign diplomacy under control. As 2024 nears and the stakes get higher, the power of image takes center stage.
