Paranoid Donald Trump Demands ‘Consequences’ for Media Who He Says Worked with FBI to Hide ‘Trump’ Accomplishments
On Thursday morning, former POTUS Donald Trump took to Truth Social with yet another paranoid rant about the 2020 election.

On Thursday morning, former POTUS Donald Trump took to Truth Social with yet another paranoid rant about the 2020 election.
This time, he’s blaming the media for colluding with the FBI to suppress damning information about the Biden family and claims they also hid news of Trump’s accomplishments.
The newest series of Truth posts comes as Trump stews furiously and waits for the House Ways and Means Committee to release his taxes on Friday.
Donald Trump Lashes out at Media and FBI in Early Thursday Rants
Trump’s fury and disgust with what he dubs the “fake news media” is nothing new.
But in recent weeks, Elon Musk has been releasing a series of “Twitter files” showing that Twitter intentionally suppressed certain information leading into the 2020 election.
Twitter officials say they were working in the interest of public safety, and information they hid was done to avoid the spread of misinformation.
But it has emboldened Trump’s foul cries, and he ramped up the rhetoric again on Thursday morning.
First, Trump took aim again at his favorite recent foil, Senator Mitch McConnell.
Trump truth’d early Thursday, “Something is going on with Mitch McConnell and all of the terrible and virtually automatic ‘surrenders’ he makes to the Marxist Democrats, like on the $1.7 Trillion ‘Ominous’ Bill. Could have killed it using the Debt Ceiling, or made it MUCH better in the Republican House. Nobody can be this stupid. Perhaps it has to do with his wife, Coco Chow, and their BIG relationships with China – A HISTORIC conflict of interest like no other!”
Shortly after that post, he added, “So, if the FBI illegally suppressed all of the really bad information on the Biden family (laptop!) at a level never seen before, (‘it was Russian disinformation,’ they said), while at the same time not letting the many positive things accomplished by ‘Trump’ get out to the public, but would instead put out ‘bad stuff,’ that would be the very definition of the Government’s RIGGING of an Election.”
Trump continued, “Pollsters projected this Scam made a difference of Millions of votes. What are the CONSEQUENCES?”
This isn’t the first time Trump has called for the media to face some unnamed “consequences” for what he considers to be a campaign against him, but the timing is curious.
Donald Trump Desperate to Distract from House Tax Release
CBS News has learned the Democratic-controlled House Ways and Means Committee will release former Pres. Donald Trump’s tax returns to the public on Friday. The redacted documents are expected to include the returns filed between 2015 and 2020. pic.twitter.com/JS30qwiwrq

It’s not surprising that the former POTUS is trotting out his favorite grievances, however.
Right now, he wants anything he can get to distract from the fact that the House Ways and Means Committee is releasing his tax returns from 2015-2020 on Friday, December 30.
Trump fought tooth and nail for years for those taxes to remain private, and what we know about them already may give a hint as to why.
The Joint Taxation Committee released a report on the taxes that gave people a small peek into what the full returns will show, and it was alarming to many.
The former POTUS paid $0 in federal taxes in 2020, and one year he and wife Melania claimed a $5.4M refund.
It also showed that Trump’s businesses were not earning money; his money comes from investments.
This flies in the face of the way he represents himself as a “can’t fail” businessman.
Of course, none of what his taxes reveal will matter to his staunchest supporters. Those he has spent rallying around him in the past few weeks ahead of the House release, and those who are standing by him as the January 6 committee sends criminal referrals to the Department of Justice.
But whether or not the taxes will have any impact on less dedicated conservatives and swing voters ahead of 2024 remains to be seen.
Although Trump has been posting poll after poll showing him still in the lead for the 2024 Republican candidacy, many polls are starting to show a rapid slide in favor towards Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Add his slip in favor to the tax release, his mounting legal and criminal woes, and everything else Trump is facing – and it’s no wonder he’s ranting on Truth before the sun has even risen.
