Donald Trump Cohort and Luxury Magazine Publisher Jason Binn Arrested for Sexually Assaulting a Minor

A friend of Donald Trump is now facing the music for sexually assaulting a minor. The two were known for appreciating some of the finer things in life – including fancy shindigs and women.

Jason Binn, New York socialite and luxury magazine publisher, has been arrested after groping a teenager, but there's more to the story.

CELEB spoke with people close to the situation who suggest that Binn's arrest is just the beginning – and that there's a much darker history underneath it all.

Binn’s Arrest

Yesterday, Binn was taken into custody. DailyMail reports, "Luxury Manhattan magazine publisher Jason Binn has been arrested in New York City for allegedly molesting a girl under 17.

The founder and CEO of the glitzy magazine DuJour was charged with forcible touching intimate parts, endangering the welfare of a child and sexual abuse in the third degree.

According to the criminal complaint obtained by, Binn is accused of touching the minor 'for the purpose of [self-gratification]' and without her consent."

The victim is a 16-year-old girl who claims in the documents that Binn, "placed his hand over her clothing and squeezed her buttocks."

A source spoke with DailyMail and informed them that Binn, "maintains that he is innocent and will continue to fight these charges."

However, this is not the first time Binn has been inappropriate – not by a long shot.

A Badly Kept Secret

Binn is known for hob-knobbing with celebrities and moving comfortably in their circles. Having founded and run Niche Media, Binn runs a number of lifestyle magazines including Gotham and Hamptons and is worth an estimated $50M. Binn's Instagram shows him elbow-to-elbow with some of the world's biggest names, from politics to actors and everyone in between.

Binn's celebrity friendships include the Kardashian-Jenner family, Will Smith, Chrissy Teigan, John Legend, Lenny Kravitz, Sylvester Stallone, Dennis Hopper, Wesley Snipes, Michael Caine, Billy Zane; billionaire Ronald Perelman of Revlon Inc.; Madonna, Michael Bolton, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith; MTV Networks chief executive Tom Freston, movie producer Keith Barish, Bill Clinton and notably – Donald Trump. The latter two have both faced sexual assault allegations of their own over the years, with Trump currently facing ongoing litigations.

Binn is the man to know if you want something done in Miami, and the Observer once called him "the Hampton's Menace" as he moved into the Hampton's and began making those high-level connections. If you want something and you're a celebrity of note, all you have to do is dial up pal Binn, and he'll get it taken care of for you. Binn has been gifted luxurious items by celebs over the years in thanks for his connections, including a Versace couch gifted by Stallone.

But there's more beneath the surface. Those who have worked with or for Binn over the year suggest that there's a pattern of sexual assault and abuse, and the allegations extend to both men and women. There's a long history of inappropriate touching of former employees while at the head of Niche, and Binn was known to troll South Beach for women in his Ocean Drive Magazine days.

One source CELEB spoke to shared with us, "Binn was known for being touchy-feely, especially when the champagne flowed – it was almost as if he couldn't control it. Ultimately, none of this is surprising."

Pals with Trump

If the pattern of sexual misconduct and cover-up by those around Binn sound familiar, it's because it closely parallels the charges oft brought against former President Donald Trump.

Binn once called Trump his "best friend," but he calls most celebrities the same. Trump, however, agreed at one point that they were "friends" – making the parallel even less surprising.

The pair attended many of the same parties and knew the same people. But there's an even starker connection. A former model named Amy Dorris accused the former president of sexual assaulting her in 1997. At the time, she was dating Binn. According to Dorris, she told her boyfriend – but he tells a different story.

The Guardian reports, "'I just kind of was in shock,' she added. 'I felt violated, obviously. But I still wasn’t processing it and just was trying to go back to talking to everyone and having a good time because, I don’t know, I felt pressured to be that way.'

Dorris cannot recall if she told Binn the full details of the alleged assault, but she says she asked him to tell Trump to leave her alone. She said she told Binn: 'He’s all over me. I can’t deal with this. You have to do something.'

Binn did not respond to a request for comment. However, according to Trump’s lawyers, Binn told them he had no recollection of Dorris telling him that anything inappropriate had happened with Trump or that she felt uncomfortable around him."

Could This Open the Floodgates?

One source we spoke with suggested that there could be a class action lawsuit of claims against Binn in the coming days, and this may be the start of an avalanche.

As with all things surrounding powerful men, often times all it takes is for the floodgates to open to bring the truth roaring out.

Whether or not these charges (or others) will stick, or if it will damage his celebrity reputation remains to be seen. After all, similar charges have hounded Trump and he still moves freely in the circles of the elites.

But sometimes the most important thing is for people to get their stories out there and tell the truth – and that seems like what may be on the horizon.
