Former President Donald Trump found himself the butt of many internet jokes on Tuesday after a surprising delivery to the court. Trump is well known for being a McDonald’s and fast food enthusiast. And his love for America’s worst habit was on full display this week as his team ordered a huge delivery of McDonald’s straight to the courtroom.
The internet did what the internet always does, and went for the jugular with the former President. Here’s what’s happening with Trump in court today. And why the internet is “lovin’ it” so much as they crack jokes about Trump’s order.
Trump Asks Judge For Help A Day After Calling Him Corrupt
On Monday, Donald Trump arrived in Manhattan. The former President is sitting for a trial against himself, his family, and his business. The New York Attorney General’s office filed a civil lawsuit accusing them of fraud.
On Monday, Trump stood up before media cameras outside of the courtroom and delivered a blistering address. He spoke about the “corruption” in the New York AG’s office and the “sham” trial he was about to enter. And he posted to social media that he had arrived at the courthouse to meet “A ROGUE, OUT OF CONTROL, TRUMP HATING JUDGE, WHO REFUSES TO FOLLOW THE APPELLATE COURT DECISION WHICH KNOKS OUT 80% OF THIS SHAM CASE.”
But on Tuesday, Trump seemed to have rapidly changed his tune. Instead of calling Judge Arthur Engoron names, Trump was far more politely entreating him to dismiss the case. Before re-entering the courtroom, Trump wrote on Truth Social, “Now that it has been agreed in Court that Mar-a-Lago is WORTH 50 to 100 times the Value the Racist & Incompetent Attorney General of New York State, Letitia “Peekaboo” James, ascribed to it (18 Million Dollars), & likewise other assets that were valued crazily low by this “Monster” that has allowed Violent Crime in New York to reach EPIDEMIC levels, and dangerous illegal migrants to roam free all over our State, we hope the Judge will TERMINATE his first ruling of fraud in that he was given false and ridiculous information by the Trump Deranged Lunatic, A.G.”
In another post, Trump wrote that Engoron had been fed “false and grossly misleading information.” Therefore, Trump concluded, the case “should be dismissed!”

However, Donald Trump did not end Tuesday on a high note. Trump was sent away from the courtroom with a limited gag order in place. This move came after Engoron found that Trump had disparaged a court staffer on social media during the trial.
And that wasn’t the only sour note for Trump on Tuesday. He was also turned into a new running meme after photographers spotted a huge McDonald’s delivery being dropped off for Team Trump. Trump’s love for McDonald’s is nothing short of legendary. And it would appear that his stress levels were best served this week by a little Big Mac and fries.
X, formerly known as Twitter, has “no chill” of course. So people took to comments sections to poke fun at the former President for his McDonald’s takeaway. One user wrote that Trump was “stress eating.” Another gleefully cheered, “Hamberders!” which is a throwback to an infamous typo Trump once made on the social media app. One user seemed to poke fun at Trump’s other pending trials, writing, “He tries to skip jailtime trough heartattack [sic].” Another user quipped “Bro Must have stocks in McDonalds lol.” While another joked, “Maybe on Election day he could offer every voter a Happy Meal. ”
Donald Trump has not yet posted about the McDonald’s jokes. It’s possible he hasn’t seen them yet, as he has been embroiled in the courtroom all day. But as the former President fights for his business’s future, the internet is having a blast.
