Donald Trump ‘Scared’ and Wants to ‘Shut Mike Pence Up’ Before he Can Testify in Front of J6 Grand Jury

Donald Trump thought his legal woes were coming to a head when he was indicted on criminal charges in New York earlier this month.

But as it turns out, those woes may be just the beginning – and the end could get messy.

Trump is reportedly afraid that the grand jury in Fulton County Georgia is wrapping up quickly, and that special counsel Jack Smith – who is overseeing Trump’s potential culpability for the attempted insurrection on January 6 – could also be drawing his investigation to a close soon. And on top of all of this, there’s the investigation into the potentially illegally handled documents he stored at his private residence in Florida.

Trump’s former running mate and VP Mike Pence is expected to testify before the grand jury investigating January 6 soon – and Trump is reportedly terrified.

Donald Trump and Mike Pence Aren’t Exactly Best Pals These Days

When the J6 rioters stormed the Capitol, one of their rallying cries was, “Hang Mike Pence!”

And it’s no accident. When Trump was speaking to supporters before they rushed the Capitol, Trump called on Pence to refuse to certify the states’ electors votes – which would have required that Congress send the votes back to the states for a recount.

But there’s one major problem: the votes were entirely legal, and Pence’s only job was to certify what was sent to him, not to interfere at Trump’s behest.

But Trump convinced his supporters that Pence could stop the whole certification and “save the day.” When Pence refused to, he became a target of their violent rage.

After January 6, when it became clear that Pence and his family were put in serious danger by Trump’s actions, his relationship with the former POTUS cooled considerably, and the two didn’t speak for a long time. That distance may now cost the former President, as Pence is expected to testify before a grand jury about what he knew about Trump’s actions in the days, weeks and months leading up to J6.

Pence’s testimony could provide key information about exactly what Trump was up to, and whether or not he really intentionally lit a proverbial fire under his supporters to try to stop the lawful certification of a legal election.

Pence was given the same chance everyone is to appeal his summons to testify – but he chose not to appeal, which means he will almost certainly testify. Trump’s legal team will be appealing on his behalf, but it’s unlikely that they will be able to stop him from testifying.

And apparently, that has Trump terrified and furious.

Even though they may have been political bedfellows, Trump and Pence could not be more different.

While Trump is guided by his passions and feelings, Pence is a measured and methodical politician. Boring, almost – and dedicated to the letter of the law.

That’s why Trump couldn’t stop him on January 6, and why he likely won’t be able to stop him from testifying now; Pence is utterly dedicated to the Constitution, like a traditional conservative.

Lev Parnas, a Ukrainian-born former associate of now-disgraced former New York Mayor and Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani, was once an avid member of Team Trump. However, Parnas claims Trump threw him under the bus to protect himself from legal jeopardy while in office, and Parnas was prosecuted for trying to influence Ukrainian-US relations.

Now, it would seem, Parnas is done helping Trump tow the line – and he’s revealing some information from inside sources.

Parnas wrote on Twitter late yesterday, “A close source is telling me that Donald Trump is really scared and acting out of control that Pence is going to testify in front of the January 6, Grand Jury.”

He added, “He was screaming at his lawyers and demanding that they find a way to shut Pence up. #January6thIndictmentsarecoming.”

Parnas’s account of what Trump is doing right now tracks with what other sources have claimed; that the former POTUS is trying to seem cool, collected and “in charge” in public, but is seething and raging in private.

Sometimes the rage seeps through on his social media platform, Truth Social, and it certainly has ever since news broke that Pence would not be appealing his summons to testify.

Trump wrote on Truth yesterday, “THE ONLY REASON I HAVE THESE ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS INVESTIGATIONS AGAINST ME , HEADED UP BY RACISTS, LUNATICS, AND RADICAL LEFT MANIACS, IS FOR PURPOSES OF ELECTION INTERFERENCE. IT WILL BE HARDER FOR THE DEMOCRATS TO CHEAT LIKE THEY DID IN 2020, SO THEY ARE GOING RIGHT TO THE OLD SOVIET UNION PLAYBOOK AND USING THE DOJ, FBI & OTHERS IN ‘JUSTICE’ TO INTERFERE IN OUR ONCE SACRED ELECTIONS. WE’VE GOT TO SWAMP THESE CHEATERS, AND WE WILL WIN!”

It’s not clear exactly how Trump plans to shut Pence up, but if he does too much to try to intimidate Pence out of testifying, that becomes a criminal act in and of itself.

The walls seem to be closing in on the former POTUS, and he’s utterly helpless to stop it all.
