Former President Donald Trump is under scrutiny and facing backlash after he shared a controversial video on Truth Social. Over the past few days, Trump’s rhetoric towards 2020 and 2024 rival Joe Biden has ramped up. And today, he referred to the current President as a “stupid fool.” But it was a video clip from a few days ago that is raising eyebrows. The new clip has people worried about Trump’s penchant for violent statements as 2024 nears.

Today, Donald Trump kicked his week off in a feisty manner after he went for POTUS Joe Biden. The furious former POTUS wrote, “Would somebody please inform our WORST President in history, Crooked Joe Biden, who doesn’t have a clue, that while he dithers around and illegally attacks his political opponent, ME, and is always trying to blame everyone else for the MANY, MANY, MANY mistakes he has made, IRAN IS RAPIDLY BUILDING A LARGE SCALE ARSENAL OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS. Once they have them, which will be soon, all negotiations STOP.”
He then went on to describe Biden begging in front of Iran’s leadership; “That’s when our incompetent fool of a President will drop to his knees and beg IRAN for mercy. ‘Please, Please, Please, Mr. Ayatollah, SIR, I will give you everything, I will do anything you demand. Don’t hurt us!’” He snarled, “This is the position that this stupid fool has put us in. Three years ago, under ‘TRUMP,’ Iran was BROKE — NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS, OR PROSPECTS. BIDEN HAS MADE THEM RICH, AND HAS NO IDEA WHAT TO DO. They started the attack on Israel and desperately want to become openly involved.”
Then, hoping to salvage his recently shaky image in regard to Israel, Trump added, “‘Death to Israel,’ they chant. DON’T LET IRAN HAVE NUCLEAR WEAPONS!”

The comments about Joe Biden as a “stupid fool” came just days after Donald Trump shared a video promoting slapstick violence against the POTUS.
In the video, Trump appears to take a normal golf shot. The ball is highlighted by a red streak, and it sails off-screen in the clip. Then, the ball “reappears” coming from above towards the head of Biden. It knocks him on the head and the President stumbles. The ball bounces and hits him again, and Biden wavers, then turns to “look for the ball.”
It’s a clearly doctored smash-up of Trump on the golf course and a video of Biden losing his footing on the stairs. However, the implication of violence – even slapstick – was not lost on the internet. Many called it “inappropriate” with some mocking sarcastically, “so presidential.” Donald Trump’s penchant for making violent threats or jokes with hints of violence is nothing new. But it may grind to a halt as federal courts begin deciding how much freedom he should have during his multiple upcoming trials.
