Over the past 24 hours, Donald Trump’s rants have hit a fever pitch on Truth Social.
The former POTUS is feeling cornered and furious, and it’s reflected in his sleepless posting on his social media account.
From ranting over the threat over World War III to blasting his former Attorney general Bill Barr, Trump has been busy being angry with any and everyone.
But he is currently fending off criticism that his Easter message may have lost what support he had left among evangelical Christians.
Donald Trump’s Bizarre and Disturbing Easter Message
It’s tradition for Presidents both current and former to make mention of big holidays.
Whether it’s to wish people well or call for peace, unity, or other lofty ideals – it’s expected that they take the opportunity to show their leadership abilities and encourage others to focus on the positive.
But it’s clear that Trump doesn’t care about leading from the front, nor does he care about positive messaging.
On Easter, ostensibly one of the most important Christian holidays of the year, Trump didn’t send a message of peace.
He didn’t send a message of unity, or love.
Trump wrote on Truth, “HAPPY EASTER TO ALL, INCLUDING THOSE THAT DREAM ENDLESSLY OF DESTROYING OUR COUNTRY BECAUSE THEY ARE INCAPABLE OF DREAMING ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE, THOSE THAT ARE SO INCOMPETENT THEY DON’T REALIZE THAT HAVING A BORDER AND POWERFUL WALL IS A GOOD THING, & HAVING VOTER I.D., ALL PAPER BALLOTS, & SAME DAY VOTING WILL QUICKLY END MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD, & TO ALL OF THOSE WEAK & PATHETIC RINOS, RADICAL LEFT DEMOCRATS, SOCIALISTS, MARXISTS, & COMMUNISTS WHO ARE KILLING OUR NATION, REMEMBER, WE WILL BE BACK!”
It’s entirely on brand for Trump, but there’s one major problem: he’s already struggling to keep support among his formerly solid base of evangelical Christians, and that message alone could cost him greatly.
Over the past two years, Trump’s once rock-solid support among evangelicals has cooled. Now, in a hypothetical head-to-head match-up, he loses among evangelicals to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
But it’s not Trump’s affair with a porn star or propensity or lying that’s turning them away – it’s his disinterest in the issues that matter to them. Trump has blasted Republicans in the midterm elections for focusing too much on “the abortion issue,” neglecting to understand how important it is to evangelical voters. And there are other signs that he’s losing their support too – many prominent evangelicals who endorsed him for 2016 and 2020 have refused to extend their endorsement this time around.
However, turning a solemn and holy day into a chance to blast his political opponents may be a bridge too far for evangelicals who tire of his tendency to tout Christian values but fail to materialize them.
The Looming Threat of World War III … Again

And yet again, Trump is focused on scaring people into assuming that World War III is around the corner.
Yesterday, when most Americans were settling down to Easter church services or lunch, Trump was screaming “WORLD WAR III” on Truth Social with no context.
And early this morning, he was back raging again, writing, “The best and only way to solve the problem with China, and every other problem we have, is to get rid of Biden!!!”
He quickly followed it with, “The way the U.S. is going, we will soon be in World War lll, with NO AMMUNITION!”
The former one-term POTUS, now the first current or former president to be indicted on criminal charges as well as impeached twice, is clearly having trouble sleeping as he posted throughout the early hours of the morning, ranting about a number of topics including former AG Barr.
Barr this week spoke on ABC to say that he believes the Department of Justice could have a very good case against Trump when it comes to the illegally handled classified documents that he stored at his private residence in Florida. And Barr’s comments infuriated Trump.
The former POTUS is beset from all sides – facing criminal investigations in multiple arenas now that he’s been officially arrested and charged in New York – and his fury and frustration is growing.
