Don’t Be Tardy’s Brielle Biermann is now speaking out about her decision to dissolve her lip fillers. Biermann decided not to renew her fillers in January and embraced a more natural look. Now, 9 months later, the Don’t be Tardy star talks about why she made the decision.
In January, Biermann Ditches Blonde and Botox
Back in January, Biermann decided to ditch her blonde locks and dissolve her lip fillers. The 23-year-old daughter of Kim Zolciak talked at that time about how she had been getting injections since she turned 18. Biermann shared an image of herself on social media after getting the dissolution injections, captioning it, “‘Dissolved my lips yesterday… gonna look like 18 year old Brielle soon,’ she wrote on an Instagram Stories selfie on Saturday, January 4.
‘2020 new year new me!’ she added of the pic that showed her with darker hair and her lips looking swollen after the procedure. ‘Black n blue for a few days.'”
Nine Months Later, Biermann Talks About the Decision
Biermann spoke to Us Weekly about the upcoming season of Don’t Be Tardy. The 23-year-old also talked about how happy she was with the decision not to continue getting lip fillers, telling Us, “I really don’t miss the blonde at all to be honest. I don’t miss the blonde; I don’t think about it ever. I do look at photos of me from a year ago or like even watching the episodes I’m like, ‘Oh, my god, I look completely different.’ Dissolving my lips was the best thing I ever did and dyeing my hair brown was like the second-best thing I ever did. I just feel like a whole new person. I definitely don’t know what the f–k I was doing a year ago. I looked a little crazy, now I look a lot better. The glow up is real.’”
Biermann added, “‘I felt confident then, too,’ she said. “It didn’t really give me a big change but looking back I’m like, ‘Wow.’ You know, I definitely feel better about how I look now than I did a year ago. You don’t know how bad, I mean you just have to get to a point where you’re like, ‘F–k, I do look a little crazy’ and then start over and you look back and you’re like, ‘Wow.’”
Brielle Has Been Catching Flack Lately For a Picture With Her Dad Kroy
Last week, the Biermann family celebrated patriarch Kroy Biermann‘s birthday. A proud and excited Kim shared a birthday present she had spent 2 months putting together for husband Kroy, and the family shared images of celebrating his birthday dinner. It was one of these images that became a headache for Brielle and family as it depicts Brielle sitting on Kroy’s lap. Kroy isn’t Brielle’s biological father, and trolls took exception to his adult daughter sitting on his lap. Some suggested that it was inappropriate or disturbing.
Fans of the show were quick to hit back at them, and both Brielle and Kim spoke out on social media. Brielle responded directly to the trolls; in one exchange in response to someone who asked whether Brielle and Kroy have, “hooked up,” Brielle snapped back: “do you hook up with your dad?”
Kim too spoke out in a Life & Style interview, saying, “‘I think people are f—king really bored … I’m so blown away by the comments that people actually write and say,’ says the Dancing With the Stars alum. ‘But again, and I tell my girls this too, it’s a direct reflection of them. It has nothing to do with my life. I am who I am. I would never write a nasty comment to somebody.’”
With Season 8 Starting Soon, Brielle Seems Happy
Despite all the drama surrounding the picture with her father, Brielle has a lot to look forward to. With newfound confidence and joy embracing her more natural glow and season 8 premiering October 6th, things are looking up for the Biermann family. Whatever the trolls are saying about Brielle and Kroy, season 8 promises an exciting glimpse into the fun family’s life as they travel cross-country in an RV. Brielle admits that she did have a small amount of filler re-injected as the dissolution was uneven, and she hasn’t ruled out procedures in the future, but for now the 23-year-old is embracing the face she was born with. Fans can see that face on October 6th as Don’t Be Tardy returns.
