There’s nothing more intriguing than news of the royal family. They live a life above the common person, walking the line between some sort of mystical existence and reality. But just like normal people, they occasionally have to deal with family drama. And if you’ve followed the royals at all over the past few years, you know that the royals are dealing with their fair share of family drama right now.

But dealing with drama doesn’t mean that life grinds to a halt. For the royals, they’re still trying to get their usual business tended to even as the media hounds them over the rift between royal Princes William and Harry. But while William is on an upcoming visit to the US, don’t ask him about his brother.

William Discusses The Planet While Harry Honors Veterans

Prince William will soon be making a trip across the pond to announce finalists for the Earthshot Prize. It’s a relatively new honor that was established in 2020 to acknowledge great work in the area of environmentalism. William first established the prize to encourage innovation in the race to find a solution to climate change. This year, William is making the trip to Boston, Massachusetts, to announce the fifteen finalists for the honor.

On the Earthshot website, William is quoted as saying, “The Earth is at a tipping point and we face a stark choice: either we continue as we are and irreparably damage our planet, or we remember our unique power as human beings and our continual ability to lead, innovate and problem-solve.” William adds, “People can achieve great things. The next ten years present us with one of our greatest tests – a decade of action to repair the Earth.”

And while William is busy trying to save the planet, Harry is dealing with his own heroic endeavor: the Invictus Games. The Games honor and raise money for wounded, injured, and sick servicemen and women, both serving and veterans. Harry floated the idea for the games after serving two tours in Afghanistan and seeing the struggles of servicemembers up close. The first Invictus Games were held in 2014, and it has become a beloved annual tradition ever since. But despite the playful name of the event, it won’t be all fun and games for Harry. The younger royal prince is being dogged by rumors of a marital split with his American wife, Meghan Markle.

Don’t Ask Prince William About Prince Harry

But whatever you do, don’t ask Prince William about Prince Harry while he’s in the United States.

The elder brother has reportedly banned all mention of his younger brother during his pond-hopping excursion. As you would expect, American media outlets have been scrambling to try to score an interview with the royal heir. But William has made it abundantly clear that he won’t talk about his brother with those he does speak with.

Mirror reports that an aide has explained, “This trip is part of his evolution as a global statesman which is incredibly important, especially since becoming Prince of Wales. He and his courtiers have been thinking about how to manage that transition from Duke of Cambridge to the next king.” The aide adds, “The US is very important to him. The world’s climate movers and shakers will be in New York having conversations about the future of the planet and the prince is keen to be part of those conversations and put Earthshot front and center.”

William and Harry will be in the United States at the same time briefly. William will be attending to his duties as the founder of Earthshot, and Harry will be returning stateside after the conclusion of the Games. However, it seems likely that the duo will not meet on friendly terms or otherwise. Rather than time healing the wounds between the dynamic duo, they seem to be drifting further apart by the year.
