Enrique Iglesias fans listen up. We’ve got good news and bad news. The good news is global music sensation Enrique Iglesias is bringing his mucho caliente live show to America. The bad news, it’s for one U.S. city only – Las Vegas. But, even that isn’t that terrible. There are two shows scheduled for one epic holiday weekend in Las Vegas.
The pop sensation has announced two exclusive shows over the Mexican Independence Day Weekend at the newly built Resorts World Theatre. Friday, September 16 and Saturday September 17 are the days Enrique fans need to circle on the calendar. Iglesias will not only bring his biggest hits, but he will also have special guest Los Tres Tristes Tigres in tow.
Iglesias By The Numbers
Enrique Iglesias first came on the Spanish music scene with his first album “Canta Italiano” in 1995. We here in America became obsessed with the Spanish suavecito in 1999 when his song “Bailamos,”(We dance) burned through the music charts. The song had a wild ride to the top of the charts thanks to the Hollywood film Wild Wild West including it on their soundtrack.
Since then, Iglesias has been adding some very impressive numbers to his resume.
Those stats include over 180 million albums sold all over the world. All told, his 11 studio albums have helped the international singing sensation add an even more impressive title to his bio: artist with the most number one songs on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart’s history. In all there are 27 #1 singles across his English and Spanish albums.
Just yesterday Enrique announced that on Apple Music his songs have over a billion plays – that is billion with a “B.”
Personally Speaking
Enrique is the son of famed Spanish singer Julio Iglesias. That is to say, he is all but Spanish royalty and grew up in the spotlight.
Enrique shares three children with Russian tennis star Anna Kournikova. The two began dating in 2001 after meeting on the set of his music video “Escape.” After a brief split the couple welcomed twins Nicholas and Lucy in 2017. Then, in 2020 their third child, Mary, was born. The celeb couple and family of five call Miami, Florida home.
An Entire World of Resorts
One of the newest venues to open on the Las Vegas Strip is at Resorts World. The 5,000 capacity spot has housed some of the newest musical residencies since it opened its doors in 2021.
Enrique joins some serious musical talent at Resorts World. Carrie Underwood, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Michael Bublé have all hit center stage at the Resorts World Theatre.
