The White House disclosed on Monday evening that First Lady Jill Biden has tested positive for COVID-19 while on vacation

The White House disclosed on Monday evening that First Lady Jill Biden has tested positive for COVID-19 while on vacation in Delaware. She is reportedly “experiencing only mild symptoms.” It’s worth noting that Jill Biden is fully vaccinated with two booster shots. This marks her second bout with COVID-19, with the previous case occurring in August 2022, followed by a rebound case the same month after receiving treatment with Paxlovid.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre issued a follow-up statement confirming that President Joe Biden tested negative for COVID-19 on Monday evening.
Over the weekend, the Bidens were on vacation in Rehoboth, Delaware, with Joe Biden returning to the White House after delivering a Labor Day speech in Philadelphia. Jill Biden opted to remain at their Rehoboth Beach residence.
The White House had previously announced in August 2022 that Jill Biden had received both COVID-19 vaccinations and two booster shots before contracting her initial case of COVID-19.
