Former GMA3 Hosts T.J. Holmes And Amy Robach Get Cozy In Los Angeles

Back in early December news broke that the hosts of the third hour of Good Morning America (GMA3), T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach, were getting intimate. And while there is simplicity in two people being romantically interested in each other, their story isn’t so black and white.
Both Holmes and Robach were married for 12 years (to other people) before signing for divorce and getting together shortly after. And well, that’s where it gets sticky. A source exclusively told Us Weekly that Robach and Holmes’s connection “blossomed from a close friendship,” adding, “They always had a spark, and their work trips away together brought them even closer.”
Also, in December 2022, a second insider told Us Weekly, “everyone around the [GMA] office could tell there was a spark between them for many months.”
A Permanent Hiatus From GMA3
On December 5 TMZ reported that Kim Godwin, ABC president, announced at an editorial meeting that the co-hosts will not be on the air as their [alleged] relationship continues to be an “internal and external distraction.” ‘I want to say that while that relationship is not a violation of company policy, I have really taken the last few days to think about and work through what I think is best for the ABC News organization,’ said Goodwin
Now, it’s been decided to remove the GMA3 pair from the network entirely. An ABC News spokesperson said in a statement Friday evening, “After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News.” Continuing, “We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions.”
As for the future of GMA3?
Since Holmes and Robach have been off the air there has been a rotation of hosts to fill in for the program. However, a decision for a more permanent replacement of GMA3 and 20/20 will come later on, according to Godwin. In a memo to the staff obtained by CNN, The network’s president announced “I know that this has been a distraction for so many of us, but let’s not forget all the great work that continues to make ABC News the #1 news network in America, and that’s because of you. I want to thank you again for your patience and professionalism during this time.”
Embracing The Future Together
With all of the drama swirling around the new couple, it’s hard to be sure of how innocent it all is. But, a source close to them explained, “This was two consenting adults who were each separated. They both broke up with their spouses in August within weeks of each other.” Adding, The relationship didn’t start until after that.”
The source continued to explain, “She’s got nothing to hide. They were both separated, so they felt very comfortable dating in the open after that. Their spouses had moved out, even! So they were not hiding anything.”
Amid their departure from GMA3, Holmes and Robach appear to be inseparable as they’re seen smiling and hugging in the streets of Los Angeles. One photo of the couple even shows Robach wrapping her legs around Holmes.
