Former Trump Attorney Jenna Ellis Turns to Crowdfunding for Georgia Indictment Defense Costs

Jenna Ellis, former legal counsel for Donald Trump and a well-known conservative media personality, is resorting to crowdfunding to cover her defense expenses after her recent indictment, alongside the former president and 17 others.
In an attempt to gather financial support, Ellis shared a link to her crowdfunding campaign on the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, now referred to as X. She included a quote from attorney Mike Melito, who she claims is representing her, urging people to contribute to her cause. The quote emphasizes the importance of fighting for justice and the legal profession.
On the fundraising page of GiveSendGo, Ellis delivers a succinct message to potential donors, highlighting her role as a former senior legal advisor and personal counsel to President Trump. She contends that she’s being unfairly targeted and that her battle is emblematic of safeguarding the truth.
With more than $13,000 raised on the crowdfunding platform by midday Wednesday, Ellis has not only secured financial contributions but also over 1,000 prayers from supporters wishing her success.
The indictment involves not only Ellis but also other members of Trump’s former legal team, including Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, Kenneth Chesebro, and John Eastman. Their alleged involvement in efforts to overturn Georgia’s 2020 presidential election results led to charges at the state level. A notable implication is that, should Trump be found guilty, potential pardons for himself and his associates in case of re-election in 2024 would be excluded.
Ellis, aligning herself with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in the Republican presidential primary, conveyed her support for him on Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social. She deemed DeSantis as the right and logical choice, citing his strong rationale.
