Game Over: Gisele Bundchen Officially Files for Divorce from Tom Brady
Gisele Bundchen has officially filed for divorce from Tom Brady after the two first announce plans to split a few

Gisele Bundchen has officially filed for divorce from Tom Brady after the two first announce plans to split a few weeks ago.
According to TMZ, Bundchen filed the docs in Florida early Friday, and Brady is not expected to contest the divorce.
TMZ shares, “Brady and Gisele began dating back in 2006. They got married in 2009 and went on to have two kids together, Benjamin and Vivian. They’ve become one of the biggest power couples in Hollywood … with Tom’s net worth estimated at $330 million and Gisele’s at around $400 mil.
They’ve attended countless red carpets together over the years — especially at the Met Gala, where they’ve been a constant presence, serving up killer looks and showing off major PDA. In other words, they’ve always attracted attention on and off the field.”
They share numerous assets together, including three homes.
Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady Hammer Out Divorce Ahead of Time
The two have been working with a mediator for some time.
Ahead of the filing, they were already working out property and custody details, and it would seem that the arrangement is one they’re both happy with.
While they’ve both been tight-lipped about the cause of their divorce, there is ample speculation to go around.
Brady originally announced his plan to retire from the NFL earlier this year, and Bundchen was reportedly thrilled with the plan.
But then, he walked it back and decided to keep playing.
According to people who know Bundchen personally, she was fed up.
She’s been raising their children alone, and tired of his always-traveling, always-playing schedule. Although she was always a cheerleader at his games and supported his career vocally, behind the scenes apparently the fairy tale was crumbling.
It would seem that his resuming his career after they’d made an arrangement they both agreed to was her last straw.
According to those who know Brady best, he was “devastated” by the divorce and didn’t want things to end. But apparently not badly enough to walk away from the NFL.
Gisele Bundchen Aside, Tom Brady Has Had a Terrible Week
Unfortunately for Brady, the bad news keeps coming.
The career he sacrificed his marriage to preserve has just turned on him in a painful way.
TMZ writes, “In fact, today’s divorce filing comes right after Tom’s team lost a close game in the 4th quarter on Thursday Night Football.”
CNN reports, “Tom Brady is used to setting new records but he wouldn’t have wanted this one.
The 45-year-old became the most sacked quarterback in NFL history during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ 27-22 defeat to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football.
Brady was sacked twice at the end of the first half to initially equal and then break the record previously held by Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.”
The fact that he’s the most sacked quarterback alone is perhaps not that surprising. After all, the man has been playing for two decades and eventually you’re going to start breaking bad records alongside the good.
But more worrying for Brady, the Bucs have now lost three games in a row, the first time that’s happened in Brady’s legendary career since 2002.
After this week’s loss, a haggard Brady said, “I don’t think you can erase what happened the last eight weeks.” He added, “We’ve gotta dig deep, see what we’re all about, come to work, try to improve and give ourselves a better chance to win.”
Perhaps Brady is talking less to his team and more to himself – and it’s time to dig deep and focus on the future. Unfortunately for Brady, that future won’t include his supermodel wife.
