Sammy Adams said it best, “single doesn’t mean I’m looking for somebody,” (if you know you know). Anyways, Gisele Bundchen is in that same headspace now as she moves on to the next chapter of her life without Tom Brady. A source told Us Weekly, “Gisele is not ready to date again yet.” Revealing that while she was in Brazil, “friends tried to introduce her to a few men, but it didn’t feel right.”
Gisele Bundchen Has Other Priorities
For Bundchen, this time isn’t about finding her next partner. Instead, she and Brady are focusing on being the best co-parents to their kids and the model is specifically putting her energy into herself as well as her children, Benjamin, 13, and Vivian, 10.
Brady addressed their efforts to put their children first in a previous Instagram story writing, “In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage. We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way. We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve.”
The source continued to explain to Us Weekly, “She’s been focusing on herself, diet, fitness, her brands, and her kids. She wants to spend the summer with the kids in Brazil.”
Going Their Separate Ways
The former couple sparked divorce rumors when Brady un-retired from the NFL. Bundchen was candid with her thoughts during an Elle interview in September 2022 saying,
“Obviously, I have my concerns. This is a very violent sport. And I have my children—and I would like him to be more present,” Bündchen tells the magazine. At the same time, she says she cares deeply about his happiness, and supports him in doing what ultimately makes him the most fulfilled. “I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them],” she adds. “He needs to follow his joy, too.”
She expressed her concerns, “I’ve done my part, which is to be there for [Tom]. I moved to Boston, and I focused on creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my children to grow up in and to be there supporting him and his dreams.”
“We have to think about what we’re doing, how moments that were really shaping who they are as people,” she adds. “I feel very fulfilled in that way, as a mother, and as a wife.”
Shortly after the couple parted ways for six weeks to release and process the tensions within their relationship. “There’s been trouble in the marriage over his decision to un-retire. Gisele has always been the one with the kids. They had agreed he would retire to focus on the family, then he changed his mind,” an insider explained to Page Six.
“Gisele is busy with her own life now, and has spent time away from Tom in Miami and New York,” a source told People.
And of course, you all know what the result is. Although it’s sad to see a power couple end, it seems as though it’s for the best.
