It's not exactly good form to celebrate the end of someone's relationship, even if it means you have a better chance to end up with them than you did the day before. But former '90's fangirls can't help but think that this isn't the worst news they've ever heard – Leo is back on the market.
These days, instead of finding him on the cover of teen heartthrob magazines, you find 47-year-old DiCaprio either behind the camera, headlining a big movie, or saving the planet. But where you won't find him is with girlfriend of 4 years, 25-year-old model Camila Morrone.
E! Online reports that a source has informed them of the breakup, adding, "Leo and Camila were first linked in December 2017 when the Don't Look Up actor was spotted leaving her home in Los Angeles. That same month, the pair spent the holidays together in Colorado with Leo's longtime pal Tobey Maguire and his two children, Ruby, 15, and Otis, 13.
Though Leo and Camila typically kept their romance low profile, the two kicked up the PDA a notch while attending Coachella together in April 2018. At the time, photos showed the actress resting her head on his lap and grabbing the back of his neck."
Things have been getting serious between the pair since 2018, despite public backlash over their considerable 22-year age gap, but unfortunately all good things must end.
The Extensive Dating History of One Leonardo DiCaprio
By now, DiCaprio is unfortunately an expert at ending things and moving on. One of Hollywood's most frequently eligible bachelors, DiCaprio has yet to settle down for any measurable period of time. And every breakup is met by fan excitement that he's now again single and ready to mingle. But DiCaprio has a type.
To paint a picture of Leo's relationship timeline, we have to take a trip back in time to 1994. Here are the girlfriends (famous and not) that DiCaprio has been linked to over the years:
- 1994: Bridgett Hall
- 1997: Claire Daines (unconfirmed but highly suspected)
- 1996-1997: Kristen Zang
- 1997: Helena Christensen
- Late '90's: Liv Tyler
- Also in the '90's: Naomi Campbell
- 1998: Eva Herzigova
- 2000: Virginie LeDoyen
- 2000-2005: Gisele Bundchen
- 2005-2010: Bar Refaeli (on-again, off-again)
- 2009: Anne Vyalitsyna
- 2011: Blake Lively
- 2012: Erin Heatherton
- 2013-2014: Toni Garrn
- 2015-2016: Kelly Rohrbach
- 2016-2017: Nina Adgal
- 2018-2022: Camila Marrone.
While DiCaprio is clearly a man of the ladies, he's also a bit of a controversy-maker. There are two things that the A-lister apparently enjoys: saving the planet, and much younger women.
It's not uncommon in Hollywood for an older man to date a younger woman, and DiCaprio gets a pass that is often not extended to the average joe relationship with the same age gap. But whoever follows Marrone will be interesting to observe: another age gap? Or someone ready to settle down and finally take the king of bachelors off the market?
