Hold onto your seats, Swifties, because this week’s ride is a wild one: Taylor Swift and Matt Healy have called it quits.
And rumors suggest that Swift has already moved on – with Lakers’ guard Austin Reaves.
Reaves recently scored big with the Los Angeles Lakers’ postseason run to the Western Conference Finals. He managed to earn a position as a full-time starter and major contender, and is expected to earn a big payday during the offseason.
However, Reaves isn’t wasting any time resting on his laurels – he’s aiming for the stars.
The country music/pop stars, to be precise.
Let’s take a look back at how we got to here.
Swift called it quits with her boyfriend of six years, Joe Alwyn, back in April. It immediately sent Swifties into a tailspin, because seriously – we thought they were forever, and ever.

Taking into account the fact that true love may not exist and perfect love is apparently a lie, the world moved on.
And so did Swift. We have to talk about Swift’s most recent ex: Matt Healy.
There was some serious controversy in the Swift-o-sphere over her choice to date the 1975 frontman, because he’s done a few controversial things.
In 2016, Healy said that the idea of dating Taylor Swift (hello foreshadowing) was “emasculating” when speaking with British music magazine, Q.
In the past, Healy has faced accusations of making antisemitic, Islamophobic and misogynistic statements.
And in January, Healy appeared to make a Nazi salute on stage during a concert. It was apparently part of an effort to mock known antisemite Kanye West, but let’s face it – you just can’t make a Nazi salute without some serious (deserved) backlash.
So for the past month, Swift has been slumming it with the singer and Swifties have been pretending he doesn’t exist.
While performing her Eras Tour at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, Swift said that she felt like life was going well; “I’ve just never been this happy in my life in all aspects of my life ever. And I just want to thank you for being a part of that.”
She added, “It’s not just a tour, I just sort of feel like my life finally feels like it makes sense.”
But that happiness was apparently short-lived, and she and Healy broke up over the weekend.
Now enter: Austin Reaves.
Reaves and Swift were photographed together at a bar in Arkansas. While there’s no official word from either camp, it would make an adorable love story.
Although Reaves could have just been using some of his rising clout to spend time with the superstar singer. After all, why become rich and famous if you can’t hang with Taylor Swift?
Either way, it would appear that Swift and Healy are history, and Swift is moving on. Whether that’s with Reaves or not remains to be seen.
But we can hope.
Reaves is definitely less controversial than Healy, so if she’s looking for someone the Swifties approve of, she may be on the right track.
