Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly feel humiliated after being snubbed by their longtime pals, George Clooney and his wife Amal. The Clooneys are about to host their annual charity benefit. But the Montecito royals never received an invitation. It could well be a stunning rebuke of the couple’s rabble-rousing in recent years. Or there could be something else going on behind the scenes.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are working on a renewal of their images. After they left royal duties in 2020, everything seemed to go wrong for the duo. They were given the cold shoulder by the royal family. And even friends they likely expected to stand by their side seemed to distance themselves.
And not for nothing. In their desire to break free from the royal life and hold the Institution and British tabloids accountable, they burned many bridges. In a series of interviews and documentaries, Harry and Meghan have spilled the beans about all the wrongs they’ve felt they’ve experienced over the past few years as a couple. And Harry has opened up in his memoir, Spare, about a lifetime of an uncomfortable experience under the royal thumb. Friends of the couple have to be watching and wondering if they’re next to be exposed.
Harry And Meghan’s Desires For the Future May Be Different
As a result, Harry and Meghan find themselves in need of a new public image. The couple has been working on it this year, with different results. Fans warmly received Harry at the Invictus Games and he walked away with glowing praise from critics and fans alike. Meghan, on the other hand, arrived late to the games and critics blasted her for poorly prioritizing her time.
Meghan appears poised to restart her career in Hollywood, and Harry has reportedly begun pining for his old life in London. As the two stars rise unequally, the past is circling back and they will have to grapple with a path forward while surrounded by the ghosts of yesterday.

Unfortunately, ER star George Clooney and Amal Clooney did not make that any easier for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The Clooneys will be hosting a second annual benefit in New York called Albies, hosted by the Clooney Foundation for Justice. The event honors “courageous defenders of justice who are at great risk for what they do.”
And Harry and Meghan, once close friends of the Clooneys apparently did not receive an invite. RadarOnline reports that a source close to the couple called them “humiliated” and saddened after the snub. According to the insider, Meghan and Harry keenly felt their exclusion from the event. The famed Hollywood duo was one of the notables who attended the royal pair’s nuptials in 2018. They have been close over the years.
It’s unclear if George Clooney intentionally iced the duo out. Or if he simply did not invite them to avoid the media circus that follows Prince Harry and Meghan Markle everywhere these days. Either way, hurt feelings are the end result. It’s a vulnerable time for the royal couple, and a hard time to be wondering who their friends are
