Secrets are no fun unless you share with everyone – so here’s the scoop! Music festivals III Points and Secret

Secrets are no fun unless you share with everyone – so here’s the scoop! Music festivals III Points and Secret Project are joining forces for a brand new event in Miami, from April 30th – May 1st. This music festival will feature underground dance music in an ambience of art, music, and culture. The lineup for this two-day outdoor experience includes Black Coffee, Green Velvet, Eric Prydz, and more.
More About III Points & Secret Project
III Points is a music festival that showcases in the Wynwood neighborhood of Miami. It presents Miami’s up and coming artists, local artists and bigger names, and recognizes itself as “an oasis of art and culture.” This music festival usually has six stages – Mind Melt, Main Frame, Isotropic, Sector 3, Boiler Room, and Door IV. III Points was created in 2013 by a group of friends that wanted to represent Southern Florida’s diverse community.
Secret Project is the premier house and techno festival from the west coast. It’s produced by Insomniac, an electronic music company from LA best known for EDC and Nocturnal Wonderland festivals. Secret Project aims to show the world “cutting-edge DJs/producers and progressive live acts who are pushing electronic music into a new dimension.” They also display immersive art, such as live graffiti and large scale murals.
Their surprise collaboration is an outcome of III Points’ flagship festival being postponed due to covid regulations. Instead of cancelling what was going to be a much fuller event this April, III Points and Secret Project decided to collaborate instead. They wanted to bring something for their fans, even if it’s much smaller in scale. “A small gathering of beautiful people with beautiful music in the most beautiful city in the world.”
The Lineup: Black Coffee, Green Velvet, Eric Prydz and More
Both festival dates, April 30 and May 1, utilize the Meadow Stage, and the Isotropic Stage. One of the first sets on April 30th includes Black Coffee, a South African DJ and “Breakthrough DJ of the Year” award recipient. Black Coffee is the stage name for Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo. In the past, he has collaborated with Drake, David Guetta, and Usher. Just last month, Black Coffee released Subconsciously, his sixth studio album.
Green Velvet is scheduled for the second day of the festival, May 1st. Green Velvet, born Curtis Alan Jones, is a DJ and record producer known for paying homage to the Chicago House sound. He has gone by the monikers Cajmere, Curan Stone, and Half Pint before. In 2001, his best selling track was the single “La La Land.”
Swedish DJ Eric Prydz is also scheduled to perform on May 1st alongside Green Velvet. Eric Prydz has gone by the aliases Cirez D and Pryda in the past. His hit single from 2004, “Call on Me” was the first of many successful charts to come. Eric Prydz is also a “DJ of the Year” Electronic Music Awards recipient. The lineup also includes Bedouin, Luciano, DJ Tennis, Danny Daze, Aurora Halal, Michael Bibi, Dixon, Gerd Janson, and Trikk.
Tickets and Times
The event times are Friday, April 30th from 3 pm – 2 am, and Saturday, May 1st from 2 pm – 2 am. The venue will be announced soon.
Tickets for this upcoming event go on sale publicly, at 11:11 AM EST this Tuesday, March 23 at iiipoints.com. Tickets for III Points 2021 will not be valid for the III Points x Secret Project Event. However, on their website, III Points announces that they are offering a special pre sale on Monday, March 22nd to III Points ticket holders.
Updates for Future Events
After a recent announcement that III Points’ flagship festival has been moved to October, festival organizers still wanted to present something special this spring. On III Point’s Instagram page, they kept their fans updated with the ongoings of their event. “We worked tirelessly to ensure what we were proposing and planning for was safe for our fans and followed all city, county, and state guidelines.” Amid CDC’s covid regulations, the fully outdoor event will now be regulated at limited capacity and performances will occur in two stages, instead of the usual six.
Additionally, the festival organizers will work closely with local officials in order to make sure that people are following the face mask protocol. By minimizing their audience and their number of stages, III Points and Secret Project brings hope to fans across the world.
