Meghan Markle left the world of acting to marry the once-most-eligible-bachelor of the world, Prince Harry. The storybook romance swept Markle off her feet and right out of Hollywood. But now, some wonder if Markle has soured on a life outside of Tinsel Town. And speculation is running rampant online that she may be returning to her former acting stomping grounds of Suits. With the royal life a bitter shadow in her rearview mirror, could Markle return to Hollywood?

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are now coming to terms with the life they chose after walking away from royal duties in 2020. At the time, leaving London and the stress of royal life behind probably seemed like a no-brainer. Things were tense with the new parents, and they were struggling to find acceptance as a mixed-race couple in the hidebound Institution.

But leaving London didn’t give them as much peace as they hoped. They were instantly hounded by aggressive paparazzi. Instead of letting the duo quietly leave, people wanted more details about their plans to leave. Many accused them of blindsiding Queen Elizabeth. And called their so-called “Megxit” a betrayal. Eventually, the furor settled down – a little.

And now they are trying to raise their two children away from London while still doing good with their position and relative power. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been an easy transition. Recently, rumors have suggested that Harry is pining for his former life and friends in London. Suggestions that the duo is having marital strain and could be separated have followed them for weeks. But in the public, the couple remains steadfast and devoted to one another.

Markle left acting in 2017, and the show ended in 2019. However, creator Aaron Korsh brought fans back to the Suits universe with Pearson in 2019. It was a short-lived drama but had fans hungry for more. Now, it seems as though Korsh is developing another Suits offshoot for NBCUniversal. And fans are stoked about the possibility. Some critics suggested it was “disgusting” to talk about bringing her back after her rift with the royal family. Yet others pushed for her return, and cheered the possibility of seeing Markle again on the small screen.

Whether or not Markle will return to the world of acting remains an unknown. Yet Harry has been reportedly dreaming of royal life in London and has stepped up his activism in recent weeks. That leaves Markle at home with nothing to do but be a stay-at-home mom and occasional humanitarian activist which are admittedly no small tasks. While that could be enough for the former actress, it’s hard to imagine her fading into the background with Harry’s recent public resurgence. With fans encouraging her to return, anything is possible.
