Previously, it was rumored that the 23-year-old was secretly dating his Euphoria costar Zendaya, after they were spotted packing on the PDA. Before that, he was linked to his Kissing Booth on-screen love interest Joey King. They met and fell for each other on set of the Netflix movie, and when the two stars took their love off the screen and into real life, it was seriously a dream come true!

But wait, how did he and Gerber even meet? When did they start dating? Did he really date Zendaya? What exactly went down between him and King? Why did they break up? And was he linked to anyone else over the years?

Speculation Elordi & Gerber Are Dating…
Fans first started to speculate that Elordi and Gerber were dating after they were photographed leaving a restaurant together on September 1, 2020. But at the time, E! News reported that they were only friends.
“Jacob definitely has interest in dating Kaia, but there is nothing serious going on there,” a source told them. “They have many mutual friends and have hung out many times in the past. They both have very chill personalities and similar interests. Jacob makes Kaia laugh and her family adores him. Kaia is keeping things friendly for now but there is flirtation between the two. She has told friends she is single and is only having fun and hanging out with people.”
Then, a few weeks later, they were caught holding hands in New York City, and it seemed to be the confirmation fans had been waiting for! An eye witness even told the outlet that they were “laughing and smiling at each other” and that they “seemed very happy to be together.”
“They’ve been inseparable for the last several weeks,” an insider revealed. “They’ve been going out to dinner at night and working out together at the gym during the day.”

When Did Jacob Date Joey King?
Elordi and King started dating during production of The Kissing Booth in 2017. And the actress later opened up about falling for her costar to Bello Magazine.
She explained, “Was it love at first sight? Well, I thought he was very cute when we first met, but it started as a friendship. Right away we were talking about gross things with each other. But before long I started to realize, ‘Hey, I think I kind of like this person!’ It was such an interesting experience meeting your boyfriend on set because you spend so much time together and become so close so fast.”
They made their love Instagram official in April 2017, and made their red carpet debut as a couple a few months later (in August 2017), and after that, they were total goals. They constantly shared the cutest, PDA-filled snaps together and gushed over each other online! But in November 2018, something must have gone wrong because fans started to notice that they had deleted all of their old pictures together.

I am very much, like, a frickin’ huge fan of The Kissing Booth. I’m a fan of how it resonated with the world and it resonated with me. So going back and doing that and making the sacrifice, obviously, that everyone is thinking about — I’m not outwardly addressing, but what I’m kinda on the sly addressing — making those sacrifices was totally worth it.”
She also spoke about the experience to Cosmopolitan in August 2020.
“No one’s thinking to themselves, ‘That was easy,’ because it wasn’t. I’m sure people will analyze every movement and every detail. And you know what? Let them. But at the end of the day, I was just thrilled to be Elle Evans again… There’s so much I want to say. What’s the most, um, correct way to go about this? Elle Evans needs her Noah Flynn, and whatever that means for my personal life, I’ll do anything to make sure the story of my character who I care about so much is complete,” the brunette beauty told them.
But while speaking to Howard Stern on his radio show, King said that she had no regrets about the relationship.
“I think it’s a good thing we dated in the first place. I learned the most I’ve ever learned in my life from him,” the 21-year-old said.

Elordi was spotted smooching Flowers — an American model — in June 2019. She posted a photo of her and the actor kissing to her Instagram account, and naturally, fans quickly went wild over it.
