Justin Bieber and wife Hailey Baldwin are recovering this week after a harrowing experience with a trespasser in their Los Angeles home.
Cops responded to the couple's home Saturday, and all is well with the Biebers – but it was a frightening reminder of the vulnerability of celebrities who live their life under the public's eye.
Trespasser was Hanging Out by the BBQ
TMZ reports, "LAPD sources tell TMZ … cops were called to the couple's home in an exclusive gated Los Angeles community last Saturday … after Justin's security said they saw a guy in the backyard, hanging out by the couple's BBQ.
We're told when security approached the man, he took off running … jumping over one of the walls and into the neighborhood. Security gave chase but the guy disappeared."
While the couple was not home when it happened, it's nonetheless a terrifying feeling to have your privacy space so violated.
Police searched the area when they responded but were unable to locate the trespasser. That adds another layer of fear for the couple who now will not know who he was – or why.
Kim K Knows What it Feels Like to Have Your Home Invaded

While living in the public eye comes with the territory of being a celebrity, no one should have to have their home and privacy invaded.
But Kim Kardashian knows exactly what that feels like, after a terrifying 2016 home invasion ended with her being held hostage in France.
Elle Australia reports, "Picture this — it's 2016 and Kim Kardashian is visiting Paris for Fashion Week. Kim is staying at the Hôtel de Pourtalès, also known as the No Address Hotel, where you either have to be incredibly rich or incredibly famous to be granted a stay. Entering the Sky Penthouse, which can cost as much as $16,800 a night, Kim's stay in Paris consisted of other lavish experiences, like a fitting at the Balmain office and lunch at L'Avenue restaurant.
On her fifth day, (October 3rd), five men aged 60-72 dubbed the 'Grandpa robbers', entered Kardashian's apartment at around 2:30 am. While the reality star documented almost every aspect of her life on social media, there was one photo in particular which undoubtedly caught the attention of the robbers – a selfie with diamonds in her mouth and a 20-karat-diamond ring on her finger, which Kanye had reportedly purchased from Lorraine Schwartz Diamonds & Fine Jewelry at Bergdorf Goodman for around US$4 million."
Kardashian describes what followed as "seven or eight minutes of torture," explaining in a 2020 interview with David Letterman, "They brought in the concierge from downstairs, handcuffed, with a gun up to him. They were yelling at me in French, and I just sat up."
Kardashian told Letterman, "He grabbed me, and pulled me towards him. But I wasn't wearing anything underneath [my bathrobe]. So I was like, 'OK, this is the time, I'm going to get raped. Just deal, like, it's gonna happen.' You know, like just prepare yourself. But then he tied me up, with handcuffs and then zip ties, and duct tape. And then duct-taped my mouth, and then my eyes. Before he duct-taped my eyes — because that was the last thing — I saw he found my whole jewelry box and held it up."
Since then, one of Kardashian's robbers has spoken out, blaming her for the robbery. He said she should have been "less showy" with her wealth and had zero remorse.
Kardashian did not acknowledge his remarks publicly but liked a tweet that accused her assailant of gaslighting her.
It was a grim reminder that even a celebrity's most traumatic moments become fodder for stories, and media outlet Vice was blasted for giving the robber a platform to talk about his lack of remorse.
