The Kardashian family is undeniably one of the most fashionable and trend-setting in modern television. The entire family has a finger on the pulse of culture and fashion, with several entrepreneurs and influencers in the bunch. And in the greatest Kardashian spirit, they’ve found a way to capitalize on their excellent fashion sense: reselling from their closets. If you’ve ever watched Keeping Up with the Kardashians and thought, “I’d love to own that sweater!” You may be in luck. Kardashian Kloset is an online store designed to resell some of their most popular pieces. So far, the store has remained digital. That all changes this summer after Kardashian Kloset announced a partnership with Las Vegas’s hot new casino resort, Resorts World. RWLV will host the first and only Kardashian Kloset pop-up boutique.

The Kardashian family has been successful at breaking into the retail market, from fashion to makeup and beyond. This collaboration with Resorts World cements them as a family of businesspeople with physical ties to Las Vegas.

What is Kardashian Kloset?

Kardashian

The Kloset is yet another brilliant entrepreneurial creation in a family that keeps coming up with winning ideas. If you’re looking to purchase some gently worn Kardashian clothing, the Kloset has exactly what you’re looking for. It gets a little weird when you consider that they’re selling underwear and bras, but honestly – people are buying, so why not sell? Visitors to the site can click through collections from Khloe, Kourtney, Kim, Kendall, and Kris, along with Kylie Jenner and Scott Disick with a single section encompassing kids’ and men’s clothing. Each collection offers for resale pieces handpicked by the women from their own closet, and each collection shows off the unique style for each family member.

Considering that these pieces have graced the Kardashians, the prices they’re selling for are really reasonable – most pieces run from $40 to $1000, with some notable outliers including Kim’s gold Versace leggings reselling for $6,500.  The whole business model has big, “hit up the yard sale for the popular girls in town to dress up your wardrobe” vibes – if the popular girl in your town happens to be a billionaire superstar.

Kardashian Kloset Comes to Resorts World Las Vegas

Now, the Kardashians are expanding the business, but in a very specific way. Since the store has thus far only been online, the collaboration with Resorts World marks their first foray into a physical storefront for Kloset. For now, the Resorts World boutique is the only physical expansion they’re considering. And why not? The most elite family in the nation collaboration with the most unique resort? It’s a match made in heaven.

The RW boutique will offer similar products to the online storefront, including designer clothing, handbags, shoes, jewelry and other items, but with the noted bonus of including pieces not available online. A press release about the collaboration shares, “Opening on June 24, the pop-up boutique will feature pieces from Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian West, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner and Scott Disick. The items for sale are hand selected by the family and will be replenished weekly. Fans will be able to shop recognizable pieces such as the stunning Roberto Cavalli evening gown worn by Kris Jenner at her famous Christmas party and Kylie Jenner’s rare tie dye embroidered Hermès Birkin x Jay Ahr.”

The release continues; “‘We are thrilled to be back in Las Vegas at the new fabulous Resort World Las Vegas,’ says Cici Bussey, co-owner of Kardashian Kloset with the Kardashian-Jenner family.

‘With the city fully open and thriving, coupled with the rapidly growing multi-billion-dollar resale business, Las Vegas was the obvious choice to open our first and only Kardashian Kloset pop-up boutique in the world!’

As Cici says with a smile, ‘It’s a bull market, a resale market, and a Vegas market!’”

The Kardashian Kloset Success

When the Kloset moves into Resorts World, the Kardashians plan to expand their offerings beyond fashion. The model itself has been wildly successful, with WWD sharing, “Kardashian Kloset launched in October 2019 and has quickly gained a loyal customer base, spurring a trend on YouTube of influencers posting unboxing videos with their Kardashian Kloset hauls and presenting side-by-side photos of themselves with the Kardashian-Jenner family member wearing the same look.

Since launch, Kardashian Kloset has had a 40.3 percent repeat customer rate and has sold nearly 9,000 pieces. The site’s success can be attributed to the Kardashian-Jenner family and their social media influence. According to the company, an Instagram Story post from Kylie Jenner last month about Kardashian Kloset drove over 250,000 people to the site and increased sales by 400 percent that weekend.”

Details about the exact when and where for the Resorts World Kloset Boutique will be released in the coming months.

The Kardashian Family Retail Empire

Kardashian

The last episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians wraps June 10th, but that doesn’t mean that’s the last we’ll hear of them. The family’s retail empire rests squarely on the shoulders of matriarch Kris, who learned the basics for business while married to high-profile attorney Robert Kardashian, who had friends in high places.

Successful business forays include the Dash boutiques, a collection deal with Sears, Kardashian Kids for the little KUWTK fans, Kim’s shapewear and beauty lines KKW Beauty and Fragrance, Kylie Cosmetics, Kylie Skin, Khloe’s Good American line for more inclusive sizing, Kendall’s stake in the Moon cosmetic line, Kourtney’s lifestyle brand website Poosh, and so many more.

Some of their ventures have fallen flat – amid accusations of cultural appropriation, insensitivity, and even one accusation that they were using sweatshop labor – but the family keeps rebranding and starting fresh.

The RWLV and Kloset collaboration is as non-controversial as it’s possible for the Kardashians to be. With the business growing, this new physical storefront may expand to even more new customers. One thing is for sure, though: we’re keeping our eyes peeled for that tie dye embroidered Hermès Birkin x Jay Ahr.
