The Mystery of Kiely Rodni: 17-year-old Missing and Possibly Abducted After End-of-School Party as Chilling Details Emerge

At 17, most kids are worrying about the future. What college they're going to go to, what job they're going to seek, relationships, dances, exams, grades – and trying desperately to enjoy the moment as childhood slips away.

And one typical teen, Kiely Rodni, was doing what so many of her peers do – celebrating the end of school at a party with a close friend. But before the night was over, Rodni was missing – and her family is desperately looking for any answers.

From a Party to a Mystery: Kiely Rodni Goes Missing

Rodni and a friend were heading out for a fun night at a party on August 5 near the Prosser Family Campground in Truckee, California.

Rodni's friend Samantha Smith arrived at the party around 9PM, and Rodni arrived about an hour later around 10PM.

The pair stayed together during the party and went to Rodni's car to charge their phones around 11. Smith says she initially intended to let Rodni drive her home, but later decided Rodni was in "no fit state to drive."

Rodni was last seen at the party around 12:30AM August 6. Per The Sun, "… Smith, 18, told The Independent that Rodni called her at 12.36am.

She said: 'We said ‘love you, good night. Get home safe’, and that’s the last thing we heard of her.'”

Smith has admitted that there were some sketchy, older, "college-aged" guys at the party.

More Information is Coming Out About Who Attended the Party

The mystery around what happened to Rodni after that party and the days since has haunted her family.

Police believe that Rodni was abducted, as her cell phone has not been active since she disappeared. Her silver car is missing as well.

Rodni's mom Lindsey has been pleading with the public for anyone with information to come forward. Lindsey explains in a heartbreaking clip online that she doesn't want to get anyone in trouble, she just wants her child home and safe.

Per The Sun, "Lindsey said: 'We're not looking to arrest anybody or get anybody in trouble we just want to see our daughter home.'

She told ABC News that Rodri said she would be coming 'straight home' as she revealed their final conversation.

She said: 'I told her to be safe and that I loved her.

'And she said, 'Ok mom, I love you too.'

Lindsey saw that her daughter's car was missing from the driveway and realized something was wrong.

She said: 'I called her and sent her texts, too, and she didn't answer. That's when I knew something was wrong.'

Lindsey doesn't believe that Rodni ran away from home, adding it was 'out of character'."

Police have released surveillance footage of Rodni taken hours before she disappeared; it shows her wearing a pair of relaxed-fit green Dickies pants, a black grommeted belt, a black spaghetti-strapped bodysuit, a pair of black Vans shoes and her hair worn loose around her shoulders.

Rodni is 5'7" tall, 115lbs and has blonde hair and hazel eyes. Her missing car is a 2013 Honda CRV in silver with the license plate 8YUR127.
