Las Vegas weekly has just released their All-Time Best of Vegas list, and the categories are on fire. From music to theater, to comedy and beyond, this list will fill your head with dreams of all the amazing venues and people you’ll want to visit next time you head to Vegas. We looked through the ‘Best of’ list and shared our top 10 favorites with you below:

Best band (mainstream)

The Killers beat out Vegas titans Imagine Dragons to clinch the top spot. With beloved songs like, “Mr.Brightside,” and, “When You Were Young,” the Killers have firmly established their position in Vegas history as a favorite band. Known for their quirky sound and thoughtful lyrics, the Killers will be a must-see in Sin City.

Best music festival

Vegas has no shortage of incredible music festivals, but the clear winner is Life is Beautiful, a festival which stands head and shoulders above the rest. With huge headliners like Kanye West, Florence + the Machine, Gorillaz, Kendrick Lamar, and Foo Fighters, this downtown festival brings good music, great food, and fantastic art to the strip.

Best music venue (non-casino)

Here, the Brooklyn Bowlreigns supreme. A venue which has broad appeal to performers and brings fans in droves, the Bowl has become a must-book gig for musicians both new and old.

Best magic show

Though every magician dreams of making it big in the magical world of Las Vegas magicians, one pair of magicians will forever remain one of the biggest names in the industry. Penn and Teller, known for their witty and unique style of humor and performance, clinches this category easily despite the stiff competition. After 45 years together, Penn Jillette and Raymond Joseph Teller will be hard to unseat as Vegas kings.

Best solo act

R&B singer and songwriter, Shaffer Chimere Smith, also known as Ne-Yo, is the absolute must-see solo act in Vegas. With unrivaled musical talent and a talent for churning out singles for huge names such as Mary J Blige, Faith Evans, Mario, and others, Ne-Yo’s talent on the stage places him in a category all his own.

Best comedian

Long-time visitors to Vegas won’t be surprised by this category’s winner, Carrot Top. Carrot Top, whose real name is Scott Thompson, has been a Vegas headliner for 15 years now, and recently signed a contract for 5 more years. With a distinct sense of humor and a fan-base that still fills his shows, Carrot Top isn’t going anywhere any time soon.

Best cirque show

While Vegas offers a plethora of amazing cirque-style shows, The Beatles Love has won the hearts of many. If you only have enough time to visit one cirque show in Vegas, the 14-year-and-still-going-strong masterful blend of kinetic movement, visual effects, and beloved music is sure to be worth the watch.

Best art gallery

The Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art is a force to be reckoned with. With pieces from giants like Picasso, Monet, Titian, Andy Warhol, and the famed Infinity Mirrored Room, only the biggest art galleries around the world can compete with what the Bellagio has to offer. Art aficionados everywhere will be entranced by the exhibits.

Best museum

The Neon Museum is sure to attract Vegas lovers of all ages. Once a collection of decommissioned Vegas neon signs, now the museum offers a, “mixtape,” of iconic Vegas history.

Best movie theater

Locals will probably tell you that the best place to catch a movie in Vegas was once the Red Rock 11 Theaters. The historic retro theater was demolished in 2002 to make way for a strip mall.

We don’t know about you, but this list has us itching to book the next ticket to Las Vegas. Although travel during the COVID-19 virus is unwise, one can certainly dream. Now is the time to make your plans and look into some of the amazing Vegas acts you want to see, so when it’s safe to go you can hop on a plane and be surrounded by all the incredible talent and experiences Vegas has to offer.
