Ibiza is arguably the entertainment capital of the world. The 3rd largest Balearic island is the premiere place for EDM and music festivals, the once-sleepy Mediterranean island now plays host to some of the best entertainment acts and venues in the world. Archaeological records show that Ibiza has been occupied since around or at least 2000 B.C.E., and in the 8th century B.C.E. a small Phoenician port was established that would forever add Ibiza to shipping lanes and help draw people and commerce to the island.

Around 550 B.C.E., the mighty Carthaginian Empire was founded on Ibiza, and it quickly became a center for art, trade, and religion. Over the years, Ibiza was owned by Rome, the Vandals, the Byzantines, Goths, and Visigoths. The island suffered pirate attacks in the mid first millenia A.D. and political instability, but Arabic influence once again stabilized the region and helped bring trade back to the Island around 1000 A.D.

It wasn’t until the 20th century when tourism came to the sleepy island shores. Set against the brilliant blue of the Mediterranean and rich with influences all across the region from Europe to the Middle East and Northern Africa, Ibiza became the perfect place to enjoy a cultural convergence.

In recent years, entertainment venues have arisen in Ibiza that bring the best talent in the world together in one place. One such venue is the Lío Ibiza Cabaret show. The shows are dazzling, sensual, interactive, and energize the audience to set their cares aside for a few hours and vibe with the performers.

Mayfair Supper Club hosts Lío

Now, you don’t have to cross the Atlantic and sail the Mediterranean to enjoy Lío. The performers are coming to Bellagio’s Mayfair Supper Club this Fall, and it’s a dream partnership between performers and location. A press release for the show shares, “Ibiza’s most exclusive cabaret dining experience will make its first appearance in the U.S. when Pacha Group’s Lío takes over The Mayfair Supper Club, Bellagio’s renowned restaurant and entertainment destination. The fountain-side venue will serve as the setting where Las Vegas and Ibiza’s worlds merge for a special two-week engagement this fall combining glamour, mischief and breathtaking over-the-top performances.

At Lío, guests will dine and dance, becoming part of a sensory soiree created for this limited run at Bellagio, with the iconic fountains serving as the one-of-a-kind backdrop for the legendary Ibizan cabaret.

Lío Las Vegas. Expect the unexpected. Sanity with a bit of madness, provocation, elegance, and beauty.”
