The era of TikTok means more collabs between celebrity favorites than ever before, but the world of real estate is where two major superstars collided this week.
Pop queen Lizzo recently closed on a deal to purchase Harry Styles’ former Beverly Hills home, for a cool $15 million.
Architectural Digest reports, “Lizzo’s sleek new abode, which she debuted on Instagram with the caption ‘new background unlocked,’ is a modernist treehouse-inspired structure designed by Sam Gnatovich and Alexi Rennalls of SIMO design. The husband-and-wife team bought the property from Styles, who resided on the premises from 2014 to 2016. After demolishing the original house, the duo upgraded it with a larger and more modern design that they dubbed Oak Pass, which was completed in 2019. The couple then sold it for $11 million to the current seller, Warner Records CEO Aaron Bay-Schuck.”
Beverly Hills Harry Style House Sells Quickly
And it was on the market for less than two weeks before Lizzo snatched it up.
The 4,400 square foot, four bedroom Hollywood Hills home was owned by the pop sensation from 2016 to 2019.
Lizzo has the opportunity to live where Harry Styles once slept, now that she’s closed the deal.
The former Los Angeles home of the British superstar and also now actor, was put
on the market for $7.995 million. This home is located just above the Sunset Strip in the
Hollywood Hills West area of town.
It is a two-story house that offers a contemporary vibe, panoramic views of Los Angeles from downtown to the ocean, with also offering a main level featuring an open grand floor plan along with hardwood flooring.
It also offers a living area with a fireplace and glass walls along with a beautiful kitchen that has grey stone countertops.
With the second floor, it also offers some amazing things as well. The primary bedroom includes a balcony, a walk-in closet and a bathroom with dual vanities along with an infinity edged bathtub and a shower with its own views of the city as well. The three additional bedrooms also have an ensuite bath as well.
With the backyard comes great amenities that include a (58-foot infinity) pool and a hot tub, a cabana along with an outdoor bar and the house itself also includes home theatre, a gym, an office and a two car garage.
A Famous Star Listed the Home for Styles
Oppenheim Group’s Emma Hernan, one of the stars of Selling Sunset, was the listing agent for this property. She describes the property as “modern luxury with iconic Los Angeles views” and notes that it is “perfectly located close to everything in West Hollywood.”
When Styles sold the home in 2019, he took an $870,000 loss on the house, which a source described the property as, “a gated drive sweeps up to the front of the house and a huge bank of floor-to-ceiling glass panels in the white-floored combination living and dining room vanish into the walls to unite the light-filled space with a sun-splashed terrace that offers a panoramic, over- the-treetops view across a vast swathe of Los Angeles.”
Styles had previously lost around $800,000 on the sale of another L.A. home.
Once upon a time, Lizzo lived in her car and wasn’t quite sure where her next dollar would come from. But she has climbed to the top and now she gets to enjoy all the benefits – including laying her head down at night in the former home of one of the world’s favorite boy band stars.
It may not be the only reason she bought the house, but it’s pretty cool to think of these two stars colliding.
