Los Angeles Pride is in Full Swing and These Hollywood Hotels Have the Perfect Pride Packages

It's Pride month across the world, but nowhere does it quite like Los Angeles.

The heart of Hollywood's over-the-top celebrations, ostentatious displays and living-out-loud way of life, Los Angeles is one of those places that Pride dreams are made of.

Two local hotels have put together packages that make your celebration extra special – and you'll want to book ASAP. The Thompson Hollywood and Tommie Hollywood are the perfect home bases from which to launch your weekend of fun, adventure – and celebration of love.

The Thompson Hollywood

With a beautiful view of Hollywood and a unique chic design, the Thompson Hollywood is a stand-out destination for those who love the classic era of film and fashion.

A Hyatt family hotel, Thompson rocks modern vibes but embraces that mid-century classic look with mid-tone wood walls, pops of gold and royal blue, and touches of playful decor throughout.

The Thompson's website describes the hotels vibe; "Thompson Hollywood is a luxurious new lifestyle hotel that brings a global sensibility, elevated service, and laidback California cool to the heart of Hollywood. Designed by renowned London-based interior design studio Tara Bernerd & Partners, the hotel features 190 sophisticated guest rooms and 16 suites, a rooftop pool with sweeping views of Los Angeles, 15,000 square feet of event space, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. Our world-class culinary and nightlife destinations include the rooftop lounge Bar Lis, chef Lincoln Carson’s French-inspired Mes Amis, and The Terrace, which pairs European fare with Californian views."

For Pride, two packages are available:

  • So Gay to Stay: This package is available through June at the best rate. It includes a four-pack of So Gay Rose upon arrival, and 10% of proceeds go to the LGBTQIA+ center in Los Angeles. To book, visit this link.
  • So Gay the Thompson Way: This premier package is only available this weekend (June 10-12) and runs $5K. Guests will enjoy the Thompson Suite with views of the surrounding Hollywood Hills, two monogrammed Thompson robes, a tub full of So Gay Rose cans, two pool floaties and two toweling pool bags from Italian brand Fiorucci. Guests will also be given a rainbow-colored buffet of snacks after the Pride parade wraps up. 10% of proceeds from the stay will go to the Los Angeles LGBT Center – Hollywood. To book call 323.410.6160.

Whether it's lounging on the signature rooftop pool deck or kicking back after a day of shopping and star-spotting in downtown Hollywood, the Thompson is the perfect place to call home-away-from-home.

The Tommie Hollywood

Another Hyatt family hotel with Pride on the mind is the Tommie Hollywood. A modern and minimalist boutique hotel near downtown Los Angeles, the Tommie is like stepping into another universe; one where pampering and relaxation are perfectly balanced with style.

Where the Thompson is modern and chic, the Tommie is mid-century and quaint, boasting local art and a more down-to-earth design palette. Like the Thompson, the views from Tommie rooms will have you dreaming with stars in your eyes as you take in the famous Hollywood Hills where celebrities roam.

The Tommie is also offering two Pride packages:

  • So Gay to Stay: Available throughout the month of June at the best rate, this package offers a four-pack of So Gay Rose and donates 10% to the LGBTQIA+ center in LA. To book, visit this link.
  • Gay Getdown: For Pride weekend (June 10-12), this $3K package offers a suite guestroom, custom cowboy hats from Teressa Foglia, a private line dancing class with local legends Mike and Diana, a complimentary Make It A Cactus cocktail service at Desert 5 Spot for up to 5 people, a chance to jam with the Desert 5 Spot house band. 20% of profits from the stay will go towards the LGBTQIA+ center in Los Angeles. To book, call 323.410.6160.

Both the Tommie and the Thompson are some of the newest hotels in Los Angeles, so you'll feel modern, cool, and welcome – just in time to celebrate the festival of love.

Los Angeles Pride Weekend Has Arrived

While arguably all year is a Pride celebration in Los Angeles, the city of celebs really kicks it up a notch in June.

Los Angeles Pride parade events kick off Saturday June 11 and the parade occurs Sunday June 12.

Presented in association with TikTok, LA Pride incorporates a number of events such as Pride Bingo, Pride in the Park, and the parade itself – making it a weekend of celebration of love and all things authentic. Performers this weekend include Christina Aguilera and Anitta – so don't sleep on this fun, it's the perfect time to get out and experience your first Pride if you've never been before.

And if you're a Pride parade veteran, get ready for a spectacular return – and consider the Thompson and Tommie as part of your plans.
