Mark Your Calendar: MDLBEAST's XP Conference and SOUNDSTORM Dates Announced for 2022

This year marks the third year of MDLBEAST SOUNDSTORM, and it promises to be even better than the two before it.

MDLBEAST has released the dates of Soundstorm and the kickoff XP Conference, and here's what you want to know about Soundstorm 2022.

Coming Soon: XP and SOUNDSTORM 2022

This year's XP and Soundstorm dates have been released, and they line up with the past two festivals.

The XP conference – back for its second year – will be held November 28-30.

The Soundstorm festival will kick off December 1-3.

Both are held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, an up-and-coming futuristic scene for music festivals and other entertainment venues long thought to be out of reach for Middle East fans.

The MDLBEAST team writes in a statement, "Everyone from music industry professionals, creatives seeking inspiration and professionalization, to music-tech start-ups and government entities will come together for workshops, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and nightlife activations to build on the successes of the inaugural year of XP in 2021. Once again, the conference will be the warmup for the biggest music festival ever seen in the Middle East, SOUNDSTORM, delivering three days for festival goers to immerse themselves in the beats of global, regional, and local superstars.

The LOUDEST WEEK in Riyadh embodies MDLBEAST’s commitment to growing talent, building the regional scene, and advancing the creative economy for Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East."

Soundstorm is an extraordinary festival that brings together the world's best EDM artists, putting them at the heart of an unlikely inclusive cultural hub in Riyadh.

And XP returns, with last year bringing together 150 local/regional/international industry experts discussing Talent, Scene, Policy, and Impact to help grow the music community regionally and around the world.

SOUNDSTORM 2021

Soundstorm 2021 was big – really big. Over 730,000 people attended, making it one of the world's biggest festivals almost overnight.

Artists who took the stage in 2021 included David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Afrojack, Jason Derulo, Future and more.

Over 184 artists performed across 8 stages, making its tagline entirely accurate: the LOUDEST WEEK.

This year's headliners and full lineup haven't been announced yet.

However, the MDLBEAST team tends to release steadily flowing information – so keep your eyes peeled for the lineup soon.

Ramadan Alharatani CEO of MDLBEAST, shared in a statement: “We are all about empowering talent, giving them opportunities, building the scene, and putting on legendary events – to be confirming a third year of bringing this to life with the third year of SOUNDSTORM is very special. Every year we look to make the festival bigger and better so we’re already planning, talking to artists, looking at new and exciting activations and we can’t wait to welcome Saudi and the world to the big stage later this year.”

Every year Soundstorm grows, it shows other cities across the Middle East what they're missing out on. The beating heart of EDM may soon lie in Saudi Arabia – and other countries across the region are eyeing the growth and opportunities with interest.
