One of the original Teen Mom couples, Maci Bookout and Ryan Edwards were introduced to the world in 2008. They gave birth to their first child, Bently Edwards, October 27, 2018 and were engaged by 2009. However, by 2010 their relationship had come to an end. The pair never had a solid foundation and constantly got into heated fights, even after their split. Aside from the MTV drama, Ryan himself had his own dramatic storylines. He’s struggled with drug addition and even went to jail for it at a point in time. In 2019 he went to rehab and has been on the path to sobriety however, the mistakes of his past still creep up from time to time.
Ryan Edwards Holds Nothing Back
Back in October the father of three released an aggressive statement on Instagram to the “fans” who had complaints towards his actions.
“You dumb f*ckers got it all wrong. I’m just a sh*t bag because I’m white and privileged ya’ll idiots don’t know sh*t but what is on tv.” He continued, “You people are worthless cowards 10+ years of you people saying the same sh*t 10+ years I’v never meet one motherf*cker to say one negative thing to my face…” Edwards finished with writing, “You would think that with everything else going on in [our] Country right now you would question the way you act because it’s the people like you that act like whining a** b*tches that got us in this pathetic state. And it will be the ppl like me m wife and the other half of ppl that would rather do something positive with their life that has to fix it. So next time you go to say some stupid sh*t that you know nothing about… bite your tongue… the f*ck off! IT WILL HELP US ALL!”
His intense energy didn’t sit well with viewers and it also hasn’t sat well with his family. His son, Bently, 13, refuses to see his dad until he agrees to go to therapy with him. Bently, has been seeing a therapist for the past two seasons of the MTV show for what we believe to be about his fathers struggle with addiction and his legal battles.
Mackenzie Edwards Finally Speaks Up
On Mackenize’s social media a fan wrote, “Can I ask a series question. What made you go through marrying Ryan when he was so high? So high in fact he could have killed you both?”
The TV personality responded with grace saying, “I was young, confused, nervous and made a very bad decision. I’m so thankful no one was hurt.” She concluded by stating, “We made peace with it a long time ago together.”
