Kailyn Lowry has been sharing her life in the spotlight since she was a teenager. First on MTV's 16 and Pregnant and most recently on Teen Mom 2. Viewers have witnessed the mom of four go through a lot of back and forth in multiple relationships. Her most complicated one had been her marriage (and now divorce) with Chris Lopez.

Lopez is the father of her two youngest children. They first connected in 2017 and not long after were expecting a child together, Kailyn's third. And although Lopez wasn't featured on the show often, he still ended up in the spotlight, leaving viewers curious to learn about him.

The pair has had a very drama-filled on-again off-again relationship. The broke up shortly after their son, Lux, was born and in 2019 were not speaking. Lowry shared in April 2019, "Chris and I are doing what we need to do for Lux. Hopefully one day we will speak again, but for now, it is what it is." Later in the year Lowry also exposed that Lopez and her were not even co-parenting. During a reunion taping of the MTV show she shared, "Right now, he is just working and going to therapy as far as I know. Working on himself." And this was only the start.

The Toxicity Of The Relationship Intensifies

In January of 2020 Lopez was arrested for allegedly violating a protective order that was filed against him in the previous year. At the time of the arrest he was charged with criminal contempt of domestic violence protective order. However, he was released the same day after posting his $5,000 bail.

Keeping fans on their toes, Lowry posted to social media that she was pregnant with baby number four just a month later (February.) The news spread as fast as the rumors of it being Lopez's child and the rumors were in fact correct.

Lowry wrote to Instagram, "We're confirming the news, baby #4 is coming soon! I'm almost 16 weeks pregnant & it's been a rough few months this time around. I've had nausea, morning sickness, and absolutely no energy. This week I'm starting to feel a bit better and I'm really hoping it stays this way."

But, don't assume that a new child on the way was going to be the healing they needed. Lowry actually responded to a curious fan on social media who asked if Lopez would be present for the birth and she replied "no." She also added in a quote from Lopez which read, "I stay out of the way. If I get the call [to come to the birth], I get the call. If I don't, I don't. It is what is is at this point. I can't stress it, bro."

The former couple has also had an on-going altercation which includes Lowry's costar Briana DeJesus. It's been rumored that DeJesus and Lopez have been romantically involved. DeJesus has also inserted herself into their issues and spoke on Lopez's behalf in her current lawsuit with Lowry.

Things Get Physical

Lowry has been in the process of suing DeJesus for defamation after she publicly claimed that Lowry "physically beat" Lopez. In her deposition, DeJesus claimed that Lowry broke into Lopez's mother's home and physically assaulted him over the haircut of their oldest son.

Lowry however, made a point to inform DeJesus' lawyer that "A lot if what comes out of Chris' mouth is untrue." She went on to say that he lied to the police about the alleged attack due to their problematic relationship.

The mom of four explained that she had a Protection From Abuse order against Chris and when was asked as to why she responded, "Chris almost killed me in October of 2019."

DeJesus' lawyer asked if Lowry was "okay" and she responded with "I am trying to be." She continued on to share, "I think that Chris has narcissistic tendencies and narcissistic behaviors."

"He parents for himself, not for his children. He sees his children as object and pawns and a way to control me. He is very manipulative. He is abusive. He is self-centered and will do whatever it takes to have his own way."

Following her intense claims about Lopez, Lowry posted a cryptic quote to Instagram which read, "Removing yourself from that s**t that repeatedly triggers your mental health and hurts your heart is top tier self-care."
