Mackenzie McKee, star of MTV’s Teen Mom, opens up about her marriage with ex husband Josh. Married for 12 years, they share 3 children together. Mackenzie went to twitter and said,
" People see me unleashed and finally happy after years of hell. 'I'm worried you are gonna go downhill,' b—, why were you not worries when I was suicidal and being emotionally abused daily,I’m good and free never been better in fact “
Fans quickly began to respond, one fan said; “ Your doing amazing!! Mental abuse and physical abuse is hard to overcome!! Mental is so worse than physical I believe! It’s something you will never get over!! It stays scary in your mind for life! It’s all in how you carry the weight of it with you! Let god have all the pain! “
Another went on to say; “ I've watched the show from the beginning & I saw you go off on Josh many times & he just kept his mouth shut. You were hard to get along with & I'm sure he was too but marriage is a commitment that shouldn't be broken. Have you ever heard of counseling? 12 years is a long time. “
Mackenzie didn't stop there, she has tweeted since, “ Im embracing every feeling, emotion, and life change coming my way ❤️❤️❤️ “
Seems like it's beginning to hit her, haven't been single for 12 years and always having a man to help her with the homes obligations and responsibilities, she tweeted; “ I really been braggin about "who needs a man" until this morning as I sit and stare at my grass that needs mowed ♀️ I guess I'll learn today. “
The Sun reported that Mackenzie took to Instagram as well and posted selfies of her and her ex Josh with the captions that read; "With all the messages I'm receiving and articles coming out, I wanted you guys to hear what's going on from me alone “
Business Shutdown
Mackenzie recently tried her shot at being a self made business woman, by opening a tanning salon named Beautifully Bronzed. The establishment had its grand opening in Florida during February 2022.
Unfortunately it didn't last long, probably shut down by the pressures of the divorce and the energy needed to run a successful business. Not to mention it was a business that Mackenzie and Josh started together, to have no ties to one another beyond the children it was probably the smartest thing to do.
Fired from MTV
In February 2022 Mackenzie announced that she will not be returning for the new season of MTV’s Teen Mom.
She said: "It hurt and broke me how my mom gave them the last breath of her life, yet after I had opened up my life to them, when my voice didn't sound like theirs, there was no more respect for me."
She went on to bash MTV saying: "I never thought two years after her death I'd be bawling about why MTV is doing this to me."
Even though Mackenzie seems to be confused and unaware as to why she was let go, some hints were definitely put out after MTV’s decision. Some fans say it was the cause of her back and forth with co-star Cheyenee Floyd.
Cheyenne blasted Mackenzie, calling her "ignorant" for using a racial slur on Twitter. MTV nor any other network would take kindly to any sort of racial or discriminatory behavior.
