It’s official, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra have been married for two years now! Yep, the couple just celebrated their second anniversary, but it seriously feels like just yesterday that they tied the knot, doesn’t it?!

It All Started Back In 2016, When Nick Jonas Slid Into Priyanka Chopra’s DMs
After being set up by a mutual friend, Jonas decided to DM Chopra in 2016. The guitarist explained to Vogue that he messaged her and said, “I’m hearing from a few mutual friends that we should meet.” She responded, “My team can read this. Why don’t you just text me,” along with her phone number. They officially met for the first time in 2017, and it was definitely a memorable first date!
“I put my drink down, get on one knee — this is in front of a bunch of people — and I say, ‘You’re real. Where have you been all my life?’ Like, loud,” Jonas told the outlet, when asked about the night they first met.
They Attended The Met Gala Together In 2017
In May 2017, Ralph Lauren suggested the two stars attend the Met Gala together since they were both wearing their designs. And according to Jonas’ big brother Joe, Chopra “kind of knocked him off his feet” at the event.
“He was just this little puppy dog,” Joe added.
At the time, however, the actress denied rumors that they were dating during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live. She said that although she wouldn’t rule out a future with Jonas, they were only friends at the moment.

It wasn’t until a whole year later that news hit the web that they were in a relationship. Yep, in May 2018, a source told Us Weeklythat they dating.
“It’s a good match and they are both interested in each other,” the insider dished.
Later that month, fans started to notice that they were hanging out quite a bit, fueling the speculation even more. Another source told People Magazineat the time, “They’re flirtatious and have been hanging out and text all the time.”
They Took A Major Step In Their Relationship In June 2018
During June 2018, the actor and the musician started leaving a bunch of flirty messages for each other on their Instagram posts. Then, they were photographed arriving in New York City together, and it was reported that Jonas was taking Priyanka to meet his parents.
“It’s a huge deal that Nick brought Priyanka to his cousin’s wedding,” a source close to the couple explained to People. “He’s dated a lot over the last couple years but it’s never been anything serious, so this is a big step.” The source added, “Nick and Priyanka really like each other, and his family enjoyed getting to know her as well. She’ll fit right in!”
They then headed to India so that Jonas could meet Chopra’s family too. And during the trip, they finally made their relationship Instagram official! Jonas shared a snap of the Quantico star to his feed, captioning it, “Her,” with a heart emoji.

In July 2018, Jonas got down on one knee and popped the question! He asked her to marry him at midnight, right after Chopra’s birthday while vacationing in Crete.
“I got down on one knee, again, and I said, ‘Will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?’” Jonas told Vogue. “No joke — she took about 45 seconds. 45 seconds of silence.”
Finally, the “Sucker” crooner said, “I’m going to put this ring on your finger now unless you have any objections.” So cute!
Then, one month later, E! News reported that the Jonas family was traveling to India for an engagement party hosted by Chopra’s family.
“It’s going to be the first time that their families intermingle and get to know each other,” a source said. “Priyanka wants everything to be traditional to respect her family’s values, and definitely an Indian wedding. Priyanka and Nick are excited for everyone to meet and to celebrate. Everything is very secretive but guests are expected to head there starting tomorrow. All of the plans are moving quickly and Priyanka and Nick do not want to have a long engagement.”
They also confirmed their engagement online when Chopra shared a snap of the ring, which she captioned, “Taken… With all my heart and soul.”

They Tied The Knot With A Lavish Wedding In India
On December 1, 2018, the couple tied the knot at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Chopra and Jonas both wore custom Ralph Lauren outfits, with the brunette beauty donning a stunning hand-beaded and embroidered gown, which she paired with a 75-foot long veil gown. Jonas’ dad, Kevin Sr. Jonas, officiated the marriage, and boy, did it sound like it was an emotional day.
“It was all tears. All tears,” Chopra told People Magazine. “I could not hold it in. I think I was nervous and scared. But as soon as the curtains opened, and I saw his face it was just like everything settled and I knew I was making the best decision of my life.”
But the celebrations didn’t end there. The next day, the two exchanged vows again in a traditional Hindu wedding. They concluded the weekend with a Bidaai, which is a bridal ritual where Chopra’s family blessed her new life with the singer.

Priyanka Chopra Even Starred In The Jonas Brothers’ ‘Sucker’ Music Video
After that, the pair was practically inseparable. They constantly shared adorable, PDA-filled pictures together, gushed over each other online and in interviews, supported each other’s work and attended events side by side. And in February 2019, Chopra even starred in the music video for the Jonas Brothers’ song “Sucker.” Plus, when the group dropped their new album, Happiness Begins, a few months later, there were some songs on it inspired by Chopra — most famously, the track “I Believe.”
